http://www.tasofro.net/touhou2/The Demo to Scarlet Weather Rapsody was released recently, has anyone gotten to play it yet? The game centers around cards witch most of your moves are mapped to. The playable characters in the demo are Aya, Alice, Reimu and Marisa. My excitement for the full release of this game has just grown and I can't wait.

Fun game. I love what they did to Alice. Her attacks look a lot better and more powerful. Dollstrings are a nice touch as well. Too bad she's still useless. <_< They better keep Patchouli. =/
Wait, Yuyuko's in the demo? >_>
In other news, the netplay for the demo is out. It's really fun.

Actually, I hope they don't include any of the side characters from IoMM (Patchy, China, etc) but some newer characters. I think it would be cute to see Nitori fight.

im hopeing for most of the IN characters.
what we can safely expect:
1.more characters then IAMP, how much more? id say at least 5.
2.based on the demo, more flashy combo's. expect combo videos to hit ten minutes on youtube.
3.eirin, it seems impossible for her not to be in it, she would be far to ez to convert to a fighting game character.
4.at least one MoF character, but i really hope not too many.
what is likely but not as much as the above 4.
1.suika to make another appearance, shes only been in one game and is mentioned in printed works often, plus shes liveing with reimu so if reimu is involved i doubt shes gonna just sit it out.
2. most of the cast of iamp, but not all of them. they dont want to recycle too much but instead want to present a new experiance. expect 2-4 characters that wernt in the demo to return. i wouldnt get my hopes up for patch though.
3. noticeable tier differance. its just a demo but people tell me alice is overpowered. and IAMP had fairly noticeable tiers (marisa and sakuya on top, patch and hong on bottom)
4.mokou and kaguya, dont write mokou off cause shes an extra stage boss, if kaguya makes an appearance so will mokou and vice versa.
5.no stage one bosses. it seems unlikely to me that any of the stage one bosses will make an appearance. wriggle seems like the easiest character to convert to a fighting game character but even her appearance is doubtful
anyone agree?

I'm guessing that most of what you said is probably going to be correct, but I'm still hoping for them jamming in as many characters as possible.
Naturally this would be a nightmare for balancing, but then again true balance is impossible and it always ends up in tiers anyway. Heck, even if good balancing is done, there are always going to be combos and such that the creators never thought of, and then a patch is used to "fix" the power problem.
So yeah, a bunch of characters would be great.
