Ever named a character after a really crack'tastic conversation with a buddy or named a series after reading a story on a era in history?

Well....with my comic Ablution Neurosis [Shameless-self-advertisement]which is linked on the main guild page[/Shameless-self-advertisement] that I do with my friend, it came about from us having a conversation that went something like this;

"Split personalities!"
"Two different people sharing one body?"
"Curse?"
"Magic Toilet!"
"...Bathtub"

My webcomic Butterfly chromosome (link convieniently located in my signature)'s main characters name came about like this:

"What is it that you use in world of Warcraft?"

"Magic?"

"no, the points."

"Mana?"

"yeah, thats it!"

"I'm gonna use that for my webcomic!"

oh, I pronounce Mana as 'mah-nuh', not 'mayh-nuh' for my webcomic.

I mainly just started reading many webcomics, then I started drawing one very not thought out one.... with my friends as the main charaters, as well as me... it's not all that original in the beginning, but hey... it gets better.... and most of the invented characters just happened and evolved afterwards...
