The guild's main forum has filled up with crap. I really used to enjoy the guild for its intelligent and thought-provoking posts, but lately its just spam and noobs.

It's mainly the front page. A moderator should go through and delete the ridiculous threads.

I'm going to be all annoying and obsessive and reply too D: *Bitter and old*
There's a lot of repeat topics that could easily be removed. Like that one news report on emo at least used to have about five threads about it.
One problem we had in a guild I moderate in looks like it's happening here. There are people making topics about random insults/idiotic comments people have given them without providing much more topic for discussion than "peopole are dumb lolz".
The guild ended up creating a life issues subfourm (which I was against >__>). But it isn't a fix to the problem, it's just sweeping the threads under a rug.
I like having an official rantbox/share your stories thread. That way all new threads like it are considered spam and can be locked quickly and not clog up the main fourm.
Right now there's a bit of a spamish quality to a lot of posts, but I think that's easier managed once repeat threads are delt with.
Uh...sorry about the mild tangent.
I just think someone may need to set aside a day to devote to cleaning up the main fourm. *nods*

It is that this guild is much too big! I have 2 smaller MCR guilds, and people post alot. Big guilds like this arent very personable. People feel like their posts are lost in all the vast forums, so they don't post as much. But with smaller guilds, people know their posts will be read, so they post more! I wouldn't delete any users, so the only other option is to make the guild more personable. Have a recycle subforum for off-topic posts or dead topics. Do some spring cleaning. Make everything less cluttered. I guarentee people will post more.
