You know, with all the trillions of characters in Mai Hime/Otome, there's a lot of really interesting pairing possibilities. If only people would just open their minds to something other than Shiznat, lol. For example:

Midori/Shizuru?
Midori/Mai (this is strangely hot.)
NatsuNao (yeah baby heart )
ShizNatsuNao!?Otome version...

I have an interesting Shiz/Mai pic, but on second thought it wasn't really Gaia safe, so I edited it a bit.

Of course, there's also plenty of other CANON one-sided love pairings (like Shiznat) that don't get much attention. Mainly:

Erstin/Nina
Miya/Tomoe
Tomoe/Shizuru

Not to mention the ambiguous pairings which may or may not be canon, like:

Haruka/Yukino (in Hime it's clearly one-sided, but Otome is ambiguous)
Aoi/Chie (the ambiguously gay duo... I dunno, I'm convinced.)
Midori/Yooko (Couldn't find any pics, but you know who I mean, right? I was rather disappointed that this relationship was never exploited, lol.)

In any case, I thought it might be fun to talk about weird uncanon pairings. If I had more time, I'd been planning to draw some weird fanart/drabbles where I just randomly pick two names and try to make the pairing work. Like, I dunno... Nao/Tomoe. Chie/Nina. Haruka/Natsuki. Rofl.

...actually, I do have Nao/Tomoe fanart... And me and mAni drew one, too. And after hearing the radio plays, this pairing sounds more and more interesting to me, lol.

Then of course there's the totally random pairing that me and mAni are making our doujin about, Tomoe/Nina... which I find rather sexy but also rather impossible, lol. It took some serious creativity to make the story work.

And then there's ones that I wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole, for reasons that I hope are obvious:

Miyu/Alyssa
Arika/Mashiro
Arika/Nina... actually, Arika/ANYONE
Mikoto/Mai ...actually, Mikoto/ANYONE
Mikoto/Nao? I've seen this more than once and it made me want to cry.

Anyway, discuss.

ok time to get out of super pro-shiznat mode......

ahem, so anyway i loved the nao/natsu fanart the second one was sooooo cute/cool. and i remeber seeing this official maio and midori pic that had mai and midori in a well suggestive position(and either they were drunk or they were blushing.....O.O)don't relly know if i like that pairing.....xp
also i agree with you i would touch the mai/mikoto pairing or miyu/alyssa pairing with a 10 foot pole. I mean mikoto is kinda weird and really she looks at mai as a mothering/big sisiter figure and alyssa looks at miyu as a big sister/mothering figure.(and alyssa looks light a like or somthing to Miyu....O.O;-it could be metaphorical though.....)

oh and arika is annoying-she seriously needs to be shot and mashiro should go back to her wheel chair and stfu. XD

You know what's a good pairing? Mai-Hime/Otome Guild moderator pairings.

Like Bari/Bari. Or, Bari/Lang, Yuri/Lang, Bari/Yuri. Or all three together, cause we're cool like that.

shiznat would be OK if it wasn't blown out of the water by a million people. now it's overrated and kind of lame. They killed it. YOOOUUU ALLL KILLLLLED IT. PLEEEEESSSSSE.

I dont really like pairings. Shizuru and Natsuki are too cool to taint with anyone else (except maybe Nao on the ocassion.) In Mai-HiME/Otome, I hated the majority of the cast, so I wouldn't want to see them with ANYONE.

That's disgusting

Non canon pairings don't bug me as long as they're somewhat plausible (I love Paine/Rikku from FF X-2). I agree Mikoto and Alyssa shouldn't be paired with anyone and nither should neither should Shiho for that matter.....gross

Ew, I agree. Shiho = jokes. That's why I like NatsuNao, I find that actually plausible. Maybe because Nao doesn't rape people. rofl. Then again, both Natsuki and Nao strike me as really asexual. Natsuki just isn't into that sort of thing at all (she's always too busy with her big macho plans) and Nao seems to see sexuality as a tool to get her way, rather than a personal pleasure.

I hate insane non-canon pairings too, but I do think they're great for a laugh.
