I heard that G.U. was going to be the last of the series but ive also heard there will be another game I hope there is

Even if there aren't more games, I'm sure there'll be more shows and books. It's too big of a franchise.

I think that they would. There is some evidence that they will.
1. Some where at the end of .Hack//legend (manga) it says "See you in the next Cyber connect 3"
2.The Current franchise with G.U. is only cyberconnect 2
When I get home I'll confirm my statement.
I'll post the confirmation when I get online again.

But CyberConnect 2 is just the company that creates the games (which is most definitely why the company in the series is CC Corp.) so I don't believe that that's hard evidence.

I just hope that they bring Grunties back(as in actually raising one and using them on fields), the same battle system but one that isnt locked, shows the element of the monster and a field that you dont need bridges or portals in order to move on to more places.

I've checked the book and it does say 'see you in the third cyber connect' at the top of the page(p.s. I forgot some details) the rest of the page is a manga style page with Balmung, and someone who look like Kite (I kno it sounds like G.U.) and the end is the words 'DATA DRAIN'
I'll post back when I write down what it says

Actually, I checked that page since I have that volume and what it actually says at the top is "Super-hot game version, .hack volume 3 Cyber Connect 2 (Piroshi Matsuyama)"
