alright. since the RPs haven't been played in a while, i've decided 2 start a new one, and i'm going to base it off of my favorite animated series BLEACH. for those who don't know what it is (which is probably few) it is an anime series and a maga series dealing with souls (good and bad) a** kicking and a little bit of drama. it is awesome... or at least i think so. CHARACTERS:  Shinigami (a.k.a. death gods/ soulreapers) keep order in the world. they fight to protect the souls that haven't moved on to Soul Society. their weapons are swords called zanpakutos (soul slayers). they resemble the katana item on gaia, or canes and are used to defeat the hollows and 'cleanse them of their sins'. the swords have three forms. 1st form is the basic looks like a sword look, pretty obvious huh. this is where it gets interesting. 2nd form is known as the shikai (initial release). this form is discovered when the weilder discovers the weapon's name, and is released when the weilder calls out a phrase followed by the weapon's name. the 3rd form is known as bankai (final release). it is called out by saying "bankai"... simple? both the shikai and bankai forms alternate the zanpakuto's appearence, and the bankai form can change the weilder's appearance (this rarely happens though), and is unique to every weilder. shinigami can also use kido (demon magic), shunpo (flash step) and, of course, some hand-to-hand combat skills. kido (a.k.a. destructive arts)includes some healing techniques, binding spells, and blast spells. the spells can be used by an incantation+name or just the name, but it is stronger with the incantation. shunpo is accelerated movement from one point to another. they are organized into 13 divisions, each one is unique and important (4th division is made up of medics). in those divisions are also captains and vice-captains, who, basicly baby-sit their division. they wear a white robe over their clothes, with their division's number in a black tipped diamend on the back. yes there is a lot to the shinigami, and there is still more!!.... but that will be revealed later.  Hollows are evil/ corrupted souls that become beast like creatures with masks and feed on human souls, mainly ones with a high reiatsu (spirit pressure) level. they are the shinigami's enemy, well, almost everybody's enemy. they have human intellect and use primative like attacks and natural abilities to get their prey. the strongest hollows are called menos. they are created when hollows start feeding on each other. menos have 3 sub-divisions; 1st is the Gillian. they all look the same, are as tall as buildings, as smart as a wild beast, and are like foot soldiers. they lose their individuality when so many hollows come together to feed on one another, causing them to mold together into a gillian. 2nd is the Adjuchas, smaller, smarter, and stronger than the gillian, and all differ in appearance. they appear when gillian have kept an individual mind and continue to eat other gillian. last is the Vasto Lorde, size of humans, smart as hell, and is the most powerful of hollows, but they are few in number, since they come from adjuchas that have consumed countless hollows. the stronger hollows (including menos) can use a technique called cero (soul flash), a red energy blast that completely annilates anything in it's path. cero is the spanish word for zero, which means it leaves nothing behind. they are only defeated when their mask is destroyed.  Quincy are humans with a very high reiatsu. they can channel their spirit energy to form a spirit bow and arrows, one type of bow is called ginrei kojaku (silvery mountaintop sparrow). it can shoot 1200 arrows at once. they use a technique similar to shunpo known as hirenkyaku (flying screen step). most were annialated 200 some years ago by shinigami since their arrows completely destroy the hollows, which caused an inbalance of souls flowing into soul society and into earth. there are very, very few left and their enemies consist of hollows and shinigami.

CHARACTERS CON.   Bounts are immortals that feed upon human souls to survive. they were created by accident by shinigami scientists doing research on human souls. soul society had them exterminated to cover up their "mistake". some survived but couldn't repopulate since they are unable to reproduce. they use dolls as their weapons which are the manifestation of their own power. each doll is unique, and changes from a portable item (necklace, whip, orb, etc.) to a weapon (plant that takes over souls, talking sword, being made of metal). they bring out the doll by calling it's name. though they can get stronger by feasting on a live human soul, they live by a code to only eat souls of the dead. when in a spirit world (soul society),they can consume anything since that entire world is made of spirit particles.  Arrancar are hollows that have removed their masks and have become stronger. by doing so they have picked up on some shinigami abilities, such as they posess a zanpakuto. when arrancar draw their sword and say a phrase and name (like the shikai release), it releases their true form, a combonation of a human and hollow look. they can also "ditch" their armor gained from releasing their zanpakuto to become several times stronger, but at the price of never regaining it again. a last resort measure. they can also use cero, as well as bala (spanish for bullet), a technique that is created when one hardens their reiatsu and blasts it at their enemy. though it is weaker than cero, it is much faster. they also use a form of shunpo known as sonido (echo stepping). the strongest of arrancar are menos who have removed their masks. the 10 strongest arrancar make up the elite group known as the espada. espada can use another cero attack known as king's cero, obviously a lot stronger than a regular cero and comes in different colors. the language they use for phrases and places seems to be spanish, as the shinigami use a japanese language.   Vaizard is a shinigami that has learned to weild their own hollow mask. this is usually to keep them from becoming full hollows. they have mastered their inner demon and can now weild it's powers. they still have shinigami abilities, but their own power easily doubles that of their bankai, and the energy they use is more hollow like than shinigami, plus they can use cero. they summon their masks by moving their hand over their face . it is unclear what other powers come with their masks.

SETTINGS: Earth is a common setting and where most of the action is, since it is connected to soul society and hueco mundo. it's earth, what else is there to know?  Soul Society is where the shinigami and souls of the departed live. at the top of the cliff in the center is where bad shinigami are crucified. the ever growing city is surrounded by forests, the city itself is like a maze. the shinigami live in the center and the souls live on the outside. it is basicly "heaven". shinigami travel to Earth through the senkai gate.  Hueco Mundo is where the hollows and arrancar live. it is like an endless, rocky desert where nothing could live. there are few structures throughout all of hueco mundo. hollows and arrancar travel to Earth through a gate called garganta. the castle where the arrancar live is known as Las Noches. though it can seem to be a "hell", it is only the living world for the hollows. EXTRAS: Gigai is a fake human body which shinigami can place their soul in to interact with humans. Modified Souls are souls sealed in candy looking pills that shinigami can put in their gigais so that their fake body can get out of harms way. some mod souls have unique abilities and can be used to track down certain reiatsus. they ca even be placed in plushie dolls. how cute, have a plushie attack you while you're trying to sleep. some humans have a high enough reiatsu that they can preform certain abilities of their own. some have the power to reject (undo what god has done) by creating barriers that can warp time. others can grow armors and such around some areas of their body, creating a part human part hollow effect.   shinigami can send souls, that haven't moved on, to soul society by preforming the konsoh. the shinigami preforms this by taking the butt of the sword and pounding it once in the middle of the soul's forehead. the soul disappears as it is sent to soul society. the death gods also have the power to send hollows to hell, though it is an unintentual ability. if the hollow committed unforgiveable sins when they were alive, then they are sent to hell after a death god cleaves it's mask. the gates of hell appear behind the hollow, and a massive sword impales it, brings it in, gates close and vanish. i personally find this to be an awesome sight.

also, if you are a shinigami you will need a costume for your gigai (only if your character travels to Earth). not to worry, you can give it later in the story, it does not have to be in your description.
once you have put one together pm it to me and i'll set it up at the front. you can also pm me if you have questions, comments, or if i'm missing any information.
lastly, the rules. basicly don't ruin it 4 the rest of us. no cybering, drug/ alcohol reference is practicly useless (though 1 every now and then isn't bad), and don't overdo the language (no need to curse up a storm, that's why we have swords). that's about it. so have fun. it's a parody so enjoy it. make it funny, intense, and... ok not so dramatic... but mainly funny. now send me your profiles and go play with your toys. twisted

kind of character: Human Shinigami
backstory: I am what would appear to be an average high schooler, though my mom disappeared at a young age, I can't remember her, and my father is a drunkard that is never home. I grew up learning the ways of the street, for years my fists were my weapons and they served well. I learned many forms of street fighting and none could match me. I never knew why till recently.
A few weeks back I decided to walk a different route, no real reason, I just did, it cut right through an advasary's turf so I probably wanted to piss him off, I ended up running into this strange creature, it was huge and attaking this little girl who for some reason had a chain sticking out of her chest, I don't like people to know I'm kind hearted so I looked around to see if any were watching then confronted the thing, I got beaten real bad until something happened inside me, it felt so normal, like it had been waiting to come out since I was born, I drew this wierd sword and the thing got scared, like something was different now, it had fear in it's eye's so I used what it was scared of, chopped it to bits and it kept coming back, finally I got tired of playing and a voice spoke in my head he said, "You really are a strong one, known me only an hour and you can already speak with me, my name is Onichishio, I am your Zanpakuto."
'My what?' "The sword you hold, speak the words 'Shatter Onichishio,' and you will be able to defeat this thing as you call it but it's reall name is Hallow."
I spoke the words that he had told me to speak and instictivly swung my zanpakuto at the hallow, shards of ice flew at the beast and it reared away in pain as they struck it, the blade had now changed, though not much, it now had a blue hue to it and was lighter, I couldn't tell if I had gotten stronger or the sword had just gotten lighter, what I could tell is it was stronger I went at the thing, this time the voice told me to cut it's head in half, the beast dodged and sent me flying, no one had ever dodged my blow, I got mad at this point and swung my blade in fury, millions of shards of ice flew at and shreded the thing to nothingness, I walked to the girl and offered her my hand so she could get up, she looked at me fearfully and ran away screaming something about not wanting to go to soul society, I shrugged it off and put my zanpakuto into it's sheath, it shimmered and was gone from site. Since then have have fought many of those things, they seem atracted to me, like they want to eat me, I nearly died from one only thanks to Onichishio telling me to speak the work bankai am I still alive, things got very strange then, I was encased in a blue robe and my zanpakuto was now several inches longer and glowing blue. I was faster too, a lot faster, I passed out after I killed that hallow and didn't wake for several hours.
Destricption: Short black hair cut into a spiky look, vivid green eyes, rather short at 5' 5", and otherwise dressed in school uniform or blue jeans and a short sleeve tight fitting shirt.

Kind of character: Arrancar
character description: At first glance most would see a young woman, no more than sixteen, with waist length black hair and the most enchanting eyes. A tall curvatious body teasingly hidden under her Rose kimono. most wouldn't look carefully enough to see the katana like blade hiding just under those bright and colorful folds.
Once in battle, however, she is quick to abandon the restrictive cloakings in favor of her jet black body suit. A suit that covers only what she must to tempt the minds of her male opponents. No one who has ever seen this latex like clothing has ever lived to tell the tale, short of one. Her brother. He was the last reaper the soul society had sent after her. She couldn't bring herself to devour the last of her family so she left him with a scar across his belly. One that burns worse and worse the closer he was to get to her.
Personality: Manipulative and deeply sadistic Xannith is willing, no, eager to trick men to slay their wives, boys to abandon their mothers, young mothers to abandon their newborns. She has been quoted many times saying that a soul tastes it's sweetest after a fresh betrayal. Probably speaking of her abuse as a human. More often than not she finds herself protected by a foolish soul reaper who has taken her into their trust. And just as they lay dying in her defense she often releases her form and consumes them, laughing as their soul is dissolved into the dark mists that compose her. She is not the kind to fight for herself is she can convince some fool to do it for her. She considers it a failure on her part if she must draw her own blade.
Any who meet her are to be wary, she is not above using or devouring anyone, soul reaper, human, soul, or even her own brethren.
Weapon name: Usgirinoshoshi
Phrase to unleash weapon: Rend Usgirinoshoshi
Weapon description: Usgirinoshoshi approximate translation: Black bleeding blade.
Mask description: Gone but not forgotten, Xannith's mask once resembled a boar wounded in battle with a tiger, displaying her unwillingness to die and once hidden strengths.
Other form descriptions: As her human like form fades Xannith always seems to smile with a malice that speaks of her eons as a hollow. Yes she enjoyed tormenting innocent lives and devouring their souls. Her body slowly dissolves into a form more resembling a revenant than a human, with her torso incased in bone-like material. Her shapely female form is still present formed by swirling black mists. Her blade becomes a whip that takes on the most predominant color in it's background, making it difficult but not impossible to see. Her voice cannot form a normal voice but more of the screech of the banshee with her every word. Lesser men and Soul reapers have fallen to the ground in terror from nothing more than the sound of her laughter. She is a terrible sight to behold.

he looked at into the distance, staring at Soul Society, admiring the beautiful scenery. laying on a tree branch, mezon day-dreamed. it had been awhile since he was assigned a mision, so he took the time to relax. it had been three weeks since his last mission and two weeks since he finally gained control of his vaizard abilities. he wondered how others would react if he told them about his extra powers? *sigh* eventually, he fell asleep.

I sit on the roof of an old building, that had gone up in flames mysteriously about three weeks before all this stuff started happening, pondering what in the world is going on with my life, the sun sizzling out for the day, leaving a pink hue on the clouds and rays of light shining through in places.
Nothing has wierd has happened all day and I'm starting to get worried, the air is this with the feeling of something dark, very dark, lusting after blood, waiting for something, but I don't know what, and I'm getting twitchy, my zanpakuto already drawn and in bankai state, "Onichishio," I wisper to myself, wondering also what it means, i grew up in a small westernized location so I don't speak Japanese, and never really thought about learning.
The sun blazes bright red one last time as it breaths it's last breath, "What now..."

what are you doing sleeping? GET UP! huh?! who said that? me you dumb a**. when are they gonna let you go kick some a**? when they send me on a mission. geez, you won't shut up will you? no! as the arguement continues a shinigami shows up reporting that Mezon will be departing to Earth in 2 hours. there, happy now? not until we kick some a**!

I stand up, "Are you ready Onichishio?"
'I am only ready when you are,' the voice in my head responds, just as calmly as always, sorta wierd actually even in adversity it's calm, I don't know if it's really the voice of my zanpakuto or if it's just me having gone insane but I feel calmer since I aquired these 'powers', I just don't know what to think.
I begin jumping from building to building, and off various other things at a superior speed, to others I must look like a blur, but tto me I see my goal clear as day and all others is just a soup of colors.

as the senkai gate opens, i walk out, standing on spirit particles. the wind blows through my hair. it feels as if i never left soul society. where should we start? i close my eyes. we'll start where ever i feel a hollow's reiatsu. not a second after i finish i feel a faint but dark reiatsu. to the northeast! i jump off of buildings and through the air, knowing that there are two hollows... and they're after something.

I stop, something dark crossed my path, 'What the hell was that, it was faster than me?' I think to myself. 'A hallow, and a nasty one it seems like,' Onichishio responds.
I plant my feet, on guard with my zanpakuto raised and it hit's me hard, I go flying through a brick wall and get up, 'Was it just slower or did I just see it?' Onichishio laugh's, 'You are stronger than I thought, more than worthy of me, he's actually moving faster, but you seem to have taught yourself to see him, interesting indeed.'

I stop on a building. what is it? you seem startled I just felt another reiatsu hollow? no well what are we standing around for? let's go find out! you seemed rushed I WANT TO KICK SOME a**! is that all you can say? no, but i'll devour your soul if you don't hurry it up fine i'm going! I leap off the building, heading towards the source of the reiatsu, wondering what the other reiatsu could be.

I climb back through the hole that I made, watching more closely now what it is that's coming at me, I draw in a breath, "What the, there's two of them." They come at me, a pronged attack, one slightly before the other, I dodge the first and strike the second, barely catching it on it's back. They both turn at me a different look on thier face, I see now that they were only have fun before, now they are pissed. One slams me hard from under, the other launches up to strike me while I'm falling, I parry his blow but can't catch myself and land hard on the ground, causing a slight crater, now I'm pissed.
