Okay, so here's the deal:This is an art contest okay? You must pick a scene from a book and draw it. It doesn't cost anything to join so everybody can submit something! With your submission please include the passage from the book you have chosen. Your submission will not be accepted if you do not include that small little detail. We need to judge if you did a good job of depicting that part of the book. Judges:Lady_Fire Scarllete Nobile As a note: Submission entry will no longer be accepeted after October 31 Yeah yeah I know..>> I keep moving it up. But we don't have enough submissions for a contest....Leave me alone. Dx

Submissions
Here is where all of your lovely art works shall be posted!
Number of Submissions: 1 Examples:Lady_Fire User Name: Lady_Fire Your submission: Book Title: Dragon's Milk by Susan Fletcher Passage from your book: "There. A sound. NOt in her mind, but in the tunnel. The crunch of a man's footsteps. He moved slowly, not running as the others had done. Kealdra strained her eyes to find the pale flickering of torchlight, but there was no breach in the darkness. He carried no light. Kealdra strained her ears to place him: ahead, and the the right. She could not tell whether he searched ina different passageway or farther down in her own. She stepped forawrd with her bootless foot so as to make no noise, and moved her hand along the wall. Ah. An opening. "Can you feel the dragons? Are they here?" The voice was very close. Jeorg's voice. There was a rustle of feathers. Kealdra felt the breath of it across her cheek. The gyrfalcon. Her heart was beating so hard, she felt sure he must hear. She had to throw him off-track. She wished she had not lost the knife. She felt for her coin purse and closed one hand around the bottom of it to keep the oincs from jingling. Then, fingers tremblings, she fumbled with the thong. There. It was untied. Slwoly, she coaxed the purse open. She did not know how the connecting passage angled off from her own, but she ahd to take a chance. She hurled the purse, heard it ring and clatter some distance away. "Kealdra?" He sounded lonely, uncertain. She fout back a sudden urge to speak. It would be so easy. She would say--- "Kealdra?" Pause. "Is that you?" He is the dragonslayer. He is my enemy." Entries User Name: Lillith D-Knock Title of Book: The Thief Queen's Daughter, by Elizabeth Haydon Your submission: Passage from your book: Directly across from them was a wall of rough bricks and stones, mostly dark, on which had been sculpted a huge three-dimensional dragon, cruel-looking and sinister. It had obviously been carved from the stone of the wall, but it was so real-looking that Ven could have sworn he saw its narrow, glinting eyes move. A second later he thought he saw it breathe.
The stone dragon was draped over the top of what appeared to be a keyhole-shaped doorway. Its top claws clutched the lintel above the door, while its lower body hung down the side and curled around the bottom, so that someone would have to step over its tail to enter the doorway.
Instead of empty space, the doorway opening appeaared to be made of stone as well. In the center of it was a jumbled pattern of stone puzzle pieces that looked like they formed a key when correctly assembled.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yay! So this used to be a reserved post and so I'm not going to go and do all of the Table of Contents crap again. @@ Deal with it. I hope nobody minds if I use their direct questions and your names. D: Tell me if you do.
watarrmelonz what a terrific idea. I would love to do it, but my drawing skills leave much to be desired stare It it okay if I get a public image and colour it ? (im good at colouring) If not i totally get it xp No. The image has to be completely your own. If you're not good a drawing but good at coloring, who cares?! You could win Best Coloredthemightyfelixone So I can just come with something in paint and that'll be cool. Absolutly! Just do what ever you feel like doing! WE LOVE ALL ART!Caity9117 Hey I have a drawing from a story that my friend wrote, its like 150 pages but its not published, can I enter that?? If not thats ok, I will draw somthing from a published book. If you have a story that has not been published, and you would like to draw something from there, go right ahead!

I'm sorry...I would have to say no to that. If you're good at coloring then draw something of your own and color it. You don't need to be the world's best artist to join. ^^ You could win Best Colored!
