Age 0-6 - My mom dressed me and i also went to british school, and i was in england at the the time so i have to wear an ugly school uniform. My hair was crap, bright blonde, and i just had no fashion sense whatsoever. gonk

Age 7-9 - Started just wearing pants and a shirt, and my hair started going dirty blonde by itself and i still had vey bad stye sense in style. neutral

Age 10-12 - I started getting a little better at style. I couldn't make up my mind if i wanted to dress scene/punk or be a total prep. So some days i wore preppy clothes and other days i wore scene/punk clothes. Untill i was about 11 I had my hair grown out long, but then cut it short because i didn't like brushing my hair and it would always be in big tangles and very hard to brush out. xp

Now Age 13 - I pretty much have a much better fashion sense. I pretty much wear whatever i think looks good on me. I wear stuff like hats, scarfs, tank tops, jeans, mini skirts, long skirts and hoodies and other stuff like that.
Now, i'm also in to decora, and ever sense i heard about it and saw pictures, i fell in love with the harajuku japanese style. biggrin

When I was little I would wear a crazy outfit, and always a hairclip. This is what comes from your mom letting you dress yourself before you have sense. xD But it makes for some funny pictures.

Around second grade I started to dress a little more maturely (No particular fashion, really) and I decided I wanted to grow out my bangs like my best friend and my brother (His hair was way longer then mine back then xD )

Come late elementary school and middle school I wore whatever was clean and comfortable, shopped at places like Old Navy.

Seventh grade I wore way too much eyeliner but other then that, no difference.

Eighth grade I stopped wearing makeup altogether and started to wear as much cute purple clothing as I could find.

Ninth grade to now (Going into tenth grade) the same as eighth grade, but constantly trying to save up for pretty lolita dresses, and wearing them at random with my friends. And very, very recently I started wearing decora on occasion as well.

That was a lot for me to type considering no one probably cares. xD

Do you have pics when you dressed like that?

Most of the way through my life, I've dressed kind of plain and unnoticable. Now I've found Decora, and turned that on its head. Big time. xd

^I know it's not much. But that's about it really. I have dressed kind of the same for most of my life. sweatdrop

Well...I used to just wear whatever was clean. As in, really ugly. Then I noticed how awful that looked and started wearing "nicer" clothes that didn't all come from Frenchy's. (although Frenchy's is a good place, a few of my clothes are from there still but not as many as before. Most of my pants still are - pants are expensive!) That's basically what I wear now I guess, but then one day I suddenly became obsessed with rainbows xDDD; and then I discovered decora. I was never interested in "what everybody else is wearing", just what I liked, so now what I like has changed, so I'm going with it! (though I still usually dress "normally". but with more/bigger/brighter accessories. xD)

This thread is cute 4laugh

0-7 I only wore dresses, or leggings in the very least. I would cry if forced to wore jeans. I didn't understand who on earth would make jeans without putting something on them, at least a patch or anything to make them less ugly. I was a styling little princess, that's for sure. mrgreen

7-11 I like pink and bright colors, anything soft, and anything that said 'princess' on it. I was a girly girl but in a tough kick-a** sort of way. I didn't like grey, what a boring pointless color. (lol, my views haven't changed!)

11-15 Began getting lazy as far as style goes. Not quite the color beast, very punk influenced, but most of the time in a lazy shirt and jeans sort of way. Never wore skirts because I didn't own good tights and frankly was not good about shaving my legs.

15-16 Got a little more into fashion and branched out from generic. Probably because I got an ebay account. I loved DIY clothing and anything unique. Then I went into my 'testing' period, where I switched styles on a daily basis, would dress ultra-hippy one day and rockibilly the next day, would go to school barefoot just to see if I would get written up for it, stuff like that. Mostly for reaction purposes. So much fun!

16-17 Slowly building a decora wardrobe, or at least buying clothing that was bright. Started getting out of jeans to the point where I rarely wore them.

Today! My style of decora has changed a lot since I first started. I'm more influenced by diffrent styles, like electroclash, kinderwhore and 80s fashion! I like testing out new ideas and am more comfortable wearing whatever. I think I follow guidelines a little less and wear less accessories because before it was to the point where it would be too heavy or I'd loose some if I wore too many. And I'm more feminine, I do my hair and make up sometimes and my nails and take care of myself more beauty-wise. And I'm skinnier! mrgreen

Lol, that's a long fashion herstory, there. rofl

Goodbye Love

Elementary School---> My mum bought my clothes. Like, cutesy clothes. I eventually came to resent it and hate the color pink. I was always wearing Hello Kitty and Twedy Bird. (Lulz, I complained /then/ now I wish I could still wear my old clothes. xD)

Middle School---> That resentment kicked in, I took to dressing all "goth"sy complete with spikes and what not. xD I was obsessed with dark things and listened to bands like The Clash, The Beatles, Sex Pistols- then I listened to popular music like Blink 182 and Sum 41- finally, I found jrock in 8th grade. XD I was like: "OMG MANA- YAY!"

High School--> Started dressing like I didn't care, then I was influenced by Visual Kei so I dressed that way, then through V-K I found Lolita & Decora. So, I dressed decora to school and lolita to parties and what not. Oh, and I came to LOVE the color pink, still do. XD

Present/Time Before College--> Decora 90% of the time. xD Lolita 10%.

This thread is cute

[1-8]
My mom would pick what I would wear.
x3 I didn`t really care, I would just wear it.
Once in a while I would get to pick what I wanted to wear.
My clothes were mostly t-shirts, leggings, dresses, shorts.
I only wore jeans once in a while.
Because where I used to live it would be too hot to wear jeans.
When I did wear jeans they would be like, those guy jeans..
You know, the straight leg ones? xP
I seriously hated the wide-legged pants.
The school I went to required uniform.

[9-11]
Girly-girl/prep. I wore anything with a collar, cute sayings or anything that was pink or blue. Most of my clothes were pastel-like e.g. light blue, light pink, light purple. I hated how people wore all black. I would be all like " Ew, are you going to a funeral ". Wherever I went I just had to look cute. I also wore mini skirts once in a while [when leggings weren`t really a must].
I didn`t really care if my legs were hairy or not, no one seemed to care anyway. At this age my pants style changed completely. I hated the straight legged pants so bad. Everytime we were out shopping for clothes I would always HAVE to have those wide-legged jeans. ALWAYS.
Pink eyeshadow, glitter, and pink lip-gloss was a must.

[12]
I started dressing gangster & army-like.
Jeans and some plain shirt or something.
For accessories I`d wear a hat.
I would always wear jackets with hoodies.
No hoodie, I won`t wear it.
The only non-hoodie jacket I wore was a camoflauge jacket.
I didn`t wanna look over the top girly-girl anymore.
I wore collared shirts once in a white, and most my shirts were just plain colored shirts. I still shopped in the kids section at stores.
Stuff in the juniors department didn`t really fit.
If I saw a girl with a cute outfit I`d try to copy that.
Lolol.

[2006/When I first turned 13]
I started wearing kinda long shirts.
Something long enough so my tummy won`t show.
I mostly wore long jeans.
Didn`t really fancy skirts.
Everytime I had to wear a skirt I couldn`t wait to take it off.
Lolol, and I still loved my hoodies.

[2007/Now, 13]
Well, this year I just started dressing differently.
I started wearing skinny jeans and flats.
I would wear mini skirts with long socks or something. ^^;
I also started dressing more mature.
Most of my shirts were layered. I would also wear some of the shirts I wore when I was younger but I would wear a long tank top inside.
I like being really colorful too. Contrast is teh key. ;]
I either dress scene/decora/ or just normal in a cute & mature way.

Yeah.
I guess that`s about it ^^;
Wow, I wrote a lot.

Birth-Age 7: Like most kids. A little tomboyish, though
Age 8-12: quite matronly; I was pretty big for my age and couldn't find clothes that were both trendy and fit me and made me look my age-and, I didn't wear too much colour.
Age 13-15: A bit more colour. Still on the plain side, but I was improving by then.
Age 16-now(almost 1 cool -I've embraced my femininity; my clothes fit properly and I put much more effort (and colour) into my appearance. True, I use many decora elements, but I've definitely refined myself into a hot, young, curvaceous young woman.

before elementary school: Basically, anything comfy with characters on it. Though, I wasn't girly so no skirts and other girly stuff.

1st-3rd grade: I had a very comfy style, with lotsa patterns, layers, and characters.

4th and 5th grade: I came across japanese fashion through anime and manga, so I tried to dress like that. Though it took me a little while to adjust to it, I tried very hard. I had more of a punkish look, with occasional cute things.

6th grade: I came across KERA magazine, so that deffinantly helped my style. I tried to have some cute days, some punk days, some lolita days, etc. I also started listening to J-rock this year.

7th grade: I decided to start mixing styles like decora punk, decora loli, punk loli, etc. I had some scene-ish looks too. I came across decora that year too, and I thought it was totally adorable, so i would have my decora days as well. At the begining of the year I would have break days where I would dress normal...but, i stopped soon after that.

8th grade/now: I never dress normal-ish, unless if i'm sick. My style now is mostly a mix between decora and punk or punk and lolita so its very oshare kei. I have my occasional lolita days, and Visual Kei days as well. Right now, I just really love J-Fashion and want to express myself as much as possible.

0-6 Most of the time cute dresses or jerseys my mother picked for me with jeans, skirts.
7-9 Many bright colours and jerseys I picked myself. Most of the time blue and green. Lots of pink too.
10-14 Black, pastel and gray clothing in the winter. Pastel, gray and brighter colours in spring and bright colours in summer. (until 12 lots of pink too)
15-16 A style between a bit more goth like, skater, normal, alternativ and fantasy in.
17, most of the time skater, sometimes fantasy, sometimes normal actually a bit like 15-16 but more overdone...

When I was 14 I actually wore a bit clothing which looked like the clothing of hippies or gypsies...
