This is a forum to keep track of practice goals and progress, where other players can help you to make the most of your practice time.
To make this as effective as possible I have created rules blaugh (You can tell I was the bossy sort as a child biggrin )
1. Create your first post, this will list:
a) Long term goals (ex. improve tone) b) Weaknesses c) Average Daily/Weekly practice practice time
2. Create a short term goal (ex. master an exercise from a method book)- List this in RED
3. Log your practices in GREEN
EXAMPLE 23 August, 2007 15 Minutes • G Concert Scale (2 octaves) • Flight of the Bumblebee at 60 bpm, working on speed
~Note that that example was just random stuff, it may or may not make sense.
4. Help other players meet their short and long term goals by suggesting things to practice and by supporting them.
I just made this kind of sloppily, so if you have any suggestions, post them! Think of this as like, a beta or something.

A) improve my music ear, play faster B) Sometimes I would rather play something besides the flute. (clarinet or piano) C) Changes from time to time. Minimum of one hour. Maximum of three hours.
I am very passionate about music just so you know. I love to play my flute alot its just that, I sometimes get bored playing but whatever. Practise makes perfect!! LOL ^^

I wish I could practice every day! I can only practice like 3 days a week because my parents make me study for the SAT's and do my homework when I get home from marching band practice and when I get done with that, then its too late to practice my flute. I tried to practice when I get home and do my homework later at night when I can't practice but then they just yell at me and make me study. I LOVE practicing my flute!!

Depends on what I'm practicing, but there are MUCH worse things than playing flute. Homework is one of them. So I started using practicing as a way to put off homework. I made top band the next year xd

I do my homework and then practice... my parents are all like "homework is the most important thing in the world so homework before you practice" it sucks. I love to practice

I hate starting to practice (cause I'm lazy) but once I get into it I don't wanna stop.
as for homework, I am the worst. I half-@$$ most of the ime and end up finishing everything in the band hall before school starts, or during physics. cause physics is just boring.

I practice so much that my grade is, like, a 130. (My teacher gives extra credit for every minute you go over the set amount (which is 180) and I ALWAYS go over that...if you can't practice for 180 minutes, you're pathetic in my opinion. My best friend and I practiced for four hours just two days ago.
