Okay, well I'm looking for some people that I can get together with, and that could help me with sewing, and things. But really I just want some Lolita friends that I can talk to about Lolita, and stuff, without getting blank stares.-sweatdrop- None of my friends have a vague idea what it is, and I have one friend that acts like she does. -__- I also want to plan meet-ups with other Texas Lollies.

There are a few of us in Houston-Katy and Austin! Also, you can check the Texas Lolita LJ comm for others in your area--there are a lot of Dallas/FW girls that I've seen post.

You're welcome! Also, if you end up going to AKon this coming summer let me know! A few friends of mine and I were debating going again since we haven't been in [as of this past summer] three years.

I am defintly going this year. I loved it this past summer, and don't think I'd be able to not to go. x3
If you do end up going, please tell me, I may not be dressed in Lolita, but I don't know.

If I go, I'll pretty much definitely be dressed up. (: Probably will be semi-casual, though. 'cause it gets so hot. >_<

Yes it is. D: Especially because I didn't eat at a-kon. I went to this pizza joint not to far away, and by the time I had got there I was sweating so bad.
I'm going to try, and either make, or buy a outfit for one day, and the other two try to be sort of casual, maybe just jeans, and a button-up shirt.

I probably ate at the same pizza place as you. haha Though, nothing beats my friend Ozzie. He decided to dress up all three days when we went in cosplay--full robes for each costume. The only one that I knew, though, was Subaru from Tokyo Babylon.
I think he wore it twice that day? Not sure. I know he wore it at Otakon again later that summer.

Haha, awesome~ o.o All three days? Wow, truely commited.
I wanted to go to Otakon, but I couldn't, I was only allowed one convention this summer. D;
Yeah, the only thing I even kind of wore, was these cheap, glittery red, and black wings. x3

I don't normally dress up for conventions, but. Well. That's mostly because I didn't want to draw attention to myself.
The only time I did wasn't a "costume", though. It was just summery clothes and a Do As Infinity wristband when we went to their public signing in '04. My friends and I ended up in a PV and the DVD for their tour because when I came out, I showed the camera guy who Tomiko and Ryo drew all sorts of crazy stuff [a fart and stare-lines] all over my CD/DVD.
So. I'm forever immortalized as "CRAZY DAI FANGIRL IN ORANGE!" or something like that.
