Someone may have mentioned this before...but seriously. If Peter wants Sylar dead, what better way than to take Sylar's power to cut open heads?! Seriously, how would you react to seeing Peter slicing Sylar's head open on the tv? xD'
What'd be even more funny is if Sylar and Peter were cutting eachothers heads open at the same time. Haha.

But wasnt sylar's ability to do this from telekensis that he stole from his first victim? He had to literally take a knife to the guys head. Sylar's ability is like Forge from Xmen, he can figure out how things work. Well its sortta like Forge.

Peter and Sylar are not equals.
Peter automatically gets any power around him, including any power Sylar stole.
Sylar has to kill to get powers. So long as Hiro, Jessica, and Clair are still alive, I don't care how many powers Sylar gets, Peter would DOMINATE in a fight.

Peter can also use Micah's and Molly's powers too. Since we saw him use DL's and they were all around him at the same distance - I'd say he has several yet to be seen.
He also can hear well, since Sylar had that. He should be able to freeze things and the dream comunication power we saw him use when he collapsed in the street. (it was Charles's power) I would also say that what ever power Mrs. Petrelli has Peter has.
What gets me is hasn't he met Linderman and Bob since they were freinds of the family? wouldn't he be able to Heal others AND make things turn to gold?

As well his powers empathic mimicry mimic the powers of others by thinking of the feelings he felt when he first met (or thinks of) the person who's powers he's using. So if he has no real connection with those people then he wouldn't have gained their powers.

Peter and sylar are equals because in the first season their was an episode where they go 4 years into the futur and peter and sylar face off and they they bothe attack each other with a power and it's even.

Ignoring the fact that Sylar hasn't been able to use his powers this season, Peter is much stronger than him. Some of Sylar's powers are pretty useless when it comes to a fight: how is enhanced memory or painting the future going to help him? Even his enhanced hearing won't help much, unless Peter decides to turn invisible, fly away, or teleport somewhere else. And of course Peter can heal himself, which although it doesn't guarantee him staying alive, it makes him immune to most of Sylar's attacks.

Let me break it down with my analogy on this:
Sylar:
He is frustrated.
All his life he's works are only over-looked seeing that he he's father took all the credit even up to the last piece he did before meeting Chandra Suresh.
He wants to be recognized.
He wants to be important.
But all this was deviated when He keeps and keeps on collecting on Powers.
With his thinking and personality don't you think he'd want to choose the ones that are a bit powerful?
Anyway, Sylar --- DAMMET i mean Gabriel has had alot of hardships growing up although not that eventful like other serial killer's history were...
Peter:
Peter is a nurse
He puts others first than help his own butt.
He's brave.
And he doesn't have to cut off other people's heads to get powers.
The only problem I don't understand is how come He can't get Sylars powers to understand things better.
Sylar is good in his technique, which I can say can get Peter killed if he its a surprise attack.
On the other hand Peter is like superman. Saves others 1st will get him killed. Because Sylar might use this.
I don't think Sylar is less efficient in his work when he lost his powers. I think!...He'' kill more now without any remorse and not just the muteys but also use civilians as a weight in a fight. Though i think he won't fight dirty.
In any case. Peter will be like superman, wasting away all his energy just to save lives. While Sylar will probably kill peter with a surprise...and not take him head on. But if Peter fights like a girl like the way he did on Suresh's Apartment. He's dead.

Honestly I would love to see Peter just Kill Sylar, not because the whole 'good guy, bad guy' thing...

Well, now both Peter and Sylar can't die, they both have Claire's power.
So there...
Besides, Sylar might actually turn good this season, which would be awesome.
