Well I read this week's newest Naruto manga chapter and in it we learn that Naruto's father really was the Forth Hokage (I know we all knew it already, but now that Tsunade and Jiraiya admitted it, there can be no doubt), and that his real name was Minato Namikaze (This whole time I thought it was Arashi Kazama).
We also learn that Naruto really had a mother named Kushina Uzumaki of the former Whirlpool Country (I had a theory that Naruto could have been created by Minato using a special jutsu, but I doubt if that was the case that Minato would have enough chakra to create Naruto and seal the Kyuubi in the same day). So Naruto's mom was from Whirlpool country, but her last name also means whirlpool. So what does that mean? I think it may mean that either everyone who comes to Konoha from Whirlpool is given the last name Uzumaki or that Kushina could have been a princess of Whirlpool. That would mean that all this time Naruto was of royal blood. Now that would be cool! Either way I hope Naruto finds his happy ending, he sure as hell deserves it.

I read that chapter too. I was so happy that we now know who Naruto parents are. He looks like his father and with the mother's personality. Though I think I liked the fanfiction name for the 4th better. Now the nay-sayers of Naruto related to the fourth are now going to shut up because it's now offical. As for Naruto being royality we just have to wait and see. Minato Namikaze since kaze means wind I think it's safe to say that Naruto got his wind element from his father.

Oh, that brings me to another thing to think about. If the First and Second Hokages were the founders of Konoha, where did the villagers originally come from? Naruto is only the fifth or sixth generation of Konoha.
Since Whirlpool is no longer a country, maybe Konoha was built by mixing small, failed countries like Whirlpool. If you think about it, Konoha, the village hidden in the leafs of Fire Country, it's symbol isn't fire but a leaf with a SWIRL on it.

If you think about it, Konoha, the village hidden in the leafs of Fire Country, it's symbol isn't fire but a leaf with a SWIRL on it. Makes sense. With the whole symbol of Fire Country though, it makes me think of the red spirial on the back of the green Jounin, and I think Chunin, vests.

Yes, that too. Everyone must know this by now, but Naruto's name is full of spiral meanings. Of course his last name means whirlpool, but naruto is actually a fish cake the Japanese eat with their ramen. Naruto is usually white with a pink swirl, but they can be made visa versa. http://images.buzznet.com/assets/users4/torek/default/gallery-msg-1098802079-2.jpg
