The developers and admins will most likely ignore us and just go through with the 2% tax.
We need to make ourselves heard without spamming, trolling, PMing any site officials, or anything that breaks the TOS.
Any suggestions?

There's some suggestions for a mass AI, (I dont know if it's in this guild for sure, but some others are talking about it) because the admins said that the 2% tax was suppost to stop AI. But that's just to let the admins know that we can still AI with or without the tax.

I have every reason to believe we can't do anything at this point to make them change their minds. The best thing we can do is keep on informing people why things are inflating and helping them find a seller (exchange part of the guild).

I think that if we all(including other guilds) raised the price of just one kind of MC in the market place, gaia would get the picture that we arnt going to sit by and watch them mess up our MC.
I have even thought about the item to use. There are 200 members in our guild and that should be enough(or close to it) to buy all the Mythrill armor's on the market and then raise them in price.
I havent really dicided on a price just yet, was thinking of raising them to around 50K though.

This is the guild tailzy 3nodding In time we will have a guide for crashing the market. It will help venders be safe about how it's done and yet keep it effective.

Just spreading the word to other users might be a good idea. Sometimes, users don't read the forum and newsletters and may not know what's going on.
And continuing the post in the SF and GCD, because I think those are the only forums the admins/devs really pay attention to since they directly involve the happenings of Gaia. It's like the "How's my driving?" bumper sticker of Gaia.

Let's write up and type up some good old-fashioned letters! ;D
When they expect more money to be coming in the mail for MCs, they'll be getting letters bearing our opinions and concerns.
They can choose not to read them, but if 200 letters are in their mailbox...
Surely mailing them complaints, concerns, petitions, etc isn't against the ToS? O:

We could do stuff like holding an auction or a lotto. People are always interested in stuff like that. Events like that also help promote almost anything.

I think "lotto's" became illegal because of all the scams that were going on. Lotto wasnt the right word for me to use... how about free raffle.

Artificially inflating wouldn't change anything, would it? Considering Sagger doesn't even think there IS inflation on Gaia... and therefore the tax isn't supposed to combat inflation, apparently...

I would participate in this, if I had any gold emo I'm relatively new, and I just spent all my questing gold to provide someone else funds to replace stuff from her account that fell to a link to a site which she gave her password to xp I was counting on earning my own gold in the marketplace by buying low and selling high mad

Caden Blue Artificially inflating wouldn't change anything, would it? Considering Sagger doesn't even think there IS inflation on Gaia... and therefore the tax isn't supposed to combat inflation, apparently... That's pretty much true. Also, Sagger and the rest are looking at the marketplace scenario as a case warranting long-term analysis. Even if we could keep up a false inflation for long enough, they'd be sure that our influence was an anomaly, and not even noticeable in the way they are going to be looking at things, I don't think.

Support alternatives, mention the logical grounds (don't lets get too crazy... that'll have them tuning us out... stick to what matters about why we feel that we have to do something and how we are personally inconvenienced) as to why we disagree with current marketplace policy, and be more reasonable about it than the unquestioning masses that try to stamp out any sign of support for anti-2% arguments.
Clarify and unify the points of our message.

Do you think that a boycott of the donation letters would do anything? I thought about doing that for the month of October but now I am thinking that it wouldn't make any difference anyway unless a lot of people got on board with it. If Gaia started losing what matters most to them and it started hitting their pocketbooks hard, they might stop the stupid 2% thing eventually. Isn't it the prosperous on Gaia that usually buy those letters anyway?
