A large house stands alone, away from every other house on the street. A feeling of simplicity can be felt by everyone around. This is the house of Kami DeFleur, a much needed escape from the life of glamour.

Kami lay motionless in her bed surrounded by flowers. The time was coming, she could feel it. She felt a sudden jerk inside her stomache and her eyes flew wide open. Soflty, with all the strength she could muster, she tried calling Adama to her.

There was a shifting flicker at the edge of the room, and a moment later Adama was there, walking over to where Kami lay on the bed. There was somthing different about him these days... Both a settled calm and a pensive hunger, almost as if he was ready to lash out. A darkness, perhaps...
"Got here as soon as I could, Kami..." He said with a faint smile, reaching over to brush her forhead gently with the back of one hand.

"The end is coming." Her voice was soft, weaker than it had ever sounded in years. This time was different, she could feel it. Her first births had been painful but easy. This time, she felt the pain but she felt an odd peace as well. Is if she were reading the conclusion of a wild story. She tried to sit up and force a small smile.

"Yes, I suppose it is..." Adama smiled faintly, then shook his head, helping Kami sit up carefully. He shook his head slowly, then shrugged, moving to sit on the edge of the bed.
"But you make it sound so pessimistic. Chear up, soon you'll have less weight on your belly!" He gave a small laugh, trying to chear up the mood.

"Yes, I suppose I..." She screamed loudly and closed her eyes tightly. When she opened them again they shot out a bright blue light. "I... I..." She screamed again and tried to pull her knees up to her stomache but was obviously unable to.

"It's alright Kami, just relax..." Adama gently placed one hand on her forhead, and the other on her stoumac, and started to work. First to calm and settle Kami, to make sure she didn't stress herself too much during this process. The second to try and put limits on the powers of the two children inside of her. The boy wouldn't be too heavy of a risk, not at this moment, but he'd provide support for his sister, who's powers would even now be sparking up.
Adama frowned, the black markings on his face forming as he concentrated, focused on the woman in the bed before him.

She screamed again, this time more loudly than the first few times. The pain was unbearable. All she could see was red. She grabbed at him, trying to find his hands to hold. They were coming... the time was drawing nearer and nearer by the second. She layed back and gave up, allowing whatever needed to happen happen. Her eyes were still closed when she heard the first cries.

Adama reached down to squeeze Kami's hand gently for a moment, as he helped the first child out... His firstborn... Yes, just as he expected.
"Hello little one..." Adama said with a faint smile as he set aside the little girl, moving quickly to cut her cord and clean her properly. For once his powers served a better purpose than normal, in helping him prepare a new life into the world. He gently handed her over to Kami, before moving to help out the secondborn, his son.
"It's done, Kami..."

There was no response. Kami's body was limp and her eyes remained closed. Meanwhile, she felt as if she were dreaming. She was sitting next to a woman that seemed so familiar to her. A feeling of serenity surrounded them. Kami was talking to her, explaining how she had been feeling lately and the woman simply would nod every so often.

Adama sighed for a moment, then reached out to brush against Kami's forehead.
"It'd be nice to let you keep this visit, but I can't let it happen now. I'm sorry, Kami..." He gently stroked her forehead again, then exherted his will upon her.
"Time to come back up, Kami... Your children still need you."

She felt herself being pulled away from the comfortable scene she had found herself in. She wanted to stay with the woman and shot her a pleading look. "You must go." The woman's words were simple and they seemed to work with Adama to bring Kami back. Within a moment, Kami's eyes flickered open.

Kami lay alone now in the bed, her children nowhere in sight. She was awake at last after days of being half unconcious. She had felt so comfortable in that dream world that she really hadn't wanted to come back... and that scared her. Her eyes scanned the room, finally landing on a white rose in a vase of water. She had forgotten all about it through her pain. She thought about her father and tried to remember the last time she had seen him. Another thing that had seemed like ages ago. She hadn't seen most of her friends or family in some time now and it really was taking a toll on her both physically and mentally.

"I know you're here." The dark man was sitting in a chair at the far end of the room, waiting for Kami's arrival. The time had come at last, he could feel her at the very door to the room. He drew in a deep breath, maintaining his form for now.

"And I knew you were going to come." She sighed softly and pushed the door open, revealing the man who she had felt for so long. "Why now?"
