In a parallel universe somewhere around Japan an evil emperor rules the country. A few hundred years ago a criminal clan forced itself into the imperial family and now rules the empire. His regime is harsh and no one dares to stand up because they’ll brought to death if they do, but still the emperor is afraid of someone who could stand up to and get the change to kill him. So he raised his own private army existing out of Ninja’s, Assassins and Spies. They’ve sworn to protect him and kill everyone who could be a danger to the dictator.
Even with his private army he’s still afraid so he locked himself up in his castle for to the south. Protected by 13 trails which you can only enter with 13 keys. The keys are scattered throughout the whole country and with every key comes a task to complete.

21 years ago a boy was born somewhere in an unknown village for to the north. A few minutes after his birth the village elder had a premonition about his life, he’s mend to do great things for the empire and shall bring peace and equality.
A spy heard this premonition and went back to the emperor immediately. Furious and afraid the emperor tried to find a solution for his problem. But the spy was loyal to his master and swore to protect him and so would his family after he died. On that same day his own son was born and now bound to the emperor by a promise his father made.

The boy from the premonition was send far into the mountains to train for the task the premonition had gave him. He grew up to be a strong fighter and definitely fit for the task.
The son of the spy trained to be a ninja from the moment he was ready for it. At the age of 15 he was in the elite team of the emperor and was given the assignment to spy on the traitor and kill him when possible.

The role-playing begins at the moment both boys leave for their quests.

Sora woke up early in the morning. the sun was nearly up and he could see only the first sunrays trough the window. his room was small and almost empty because he'd to leave today for his quest.

he stood up and walked outside in only his underwear. there's nobody around except for the old samurai who'd trained him over the years. he walked towards the little mountainstream and washed himself and brushed his long hair.

he waited with packing his stuff until his master woke up and they had their breakfast.
"today is the day, my young student" the old man said after eating.
Sora Nodded and tried to smile. he hated to leave this beautiful place, but he'd no choice. he was ready for leaving and before he would really go on his quest he would see his parents and sister for the last time (they lived in the village down the mountains).

not long before the sun was on it highest point Sora had packed all his clothes, weapons and food and was ready to leave.
"take care, I'm sure you'll manage to succeed" the old man bowed for as far he was possible. the young man thanked his master and bowed back.

he walked towards the little road and watched for the last time over his shoulder to the house he'd lived almost all his life. "Good Bye." he whispered. he turned his face to the road again and started walking down.

He walked until the evening fell over the forest and his stomach told him he was hungry. luckily the weather was dry and not to cold because he wasn't able to make a campfire. a spy of the imperial army could spot him so he had to make sure he couldn't get caught. so showing where he camped wasn't wise.
he put down his stuff and put a blanket around him. he searched the trees for spies but didn't see any. he layed down to sleep.

Sora slept really well for his first night outside. it wasn't cold when he woke up even now the sun wasn't even shining.
He stood up and looked at his clothes. they were all frumbled and dirty by the sleeping and he sighed. what a waste. If I get home I'll clean them immediatelyhe thought.
he was used to living outside but he had special clothes for training, but he wasn't able to take all of his clothes with him. he should travel light.

before leaving again he ate some light meal as breakfast and drank some water out of a stream. he took his pack with clothes and food on his back and tied his katana around his waist.

he tried to figure out if he was followed but wasn't able to spot anything. he started walking again. the path he took was small and full obstacles but he could not risk to take the highway. the chance of running into imperial scouts was big and he actually liked walking here, it was quiet and there was almost no one. the only people he could meet here were dishonoust merchands or thiefs and both were way easy to defeat for him. and somehow they allready fleed before giving him the chance to even glare at them.

at midday he took a break from the walking. he stopped near a little river and wondered if he could take a bath before going further. the sun was burning and the sweat dripped down slowly. he looked again to see if he was followed and listened carefully. nothing. he decided to take a quick bath and started to undress.

with only his underwear on he slowly stepped into the cold water. a shiver went trough his body but he was used to something. he washed the sweat of his body and out of his hair and just swum around for a while.
when he thought he was clean enough he stepped out and dried himself in the sun.

when he was dried up he took on his clothes again and continued his journey home.

when the evening fell again Sora almost got back home. in the distance he saw the fires of the village. he stood still and thought what would be the best thing to do. sleep another night in the forest or return home and sleep in a normal bed?

the choice didn't seem that hard but he was on his guard and thought he'd heard something in the trees while he got dressed up again. it could have been a bird because it was the only time he'd actually heard something but he couldn't be to sure.

he was dying for a warm meal but couldn't risk to be caught so near to his home. Another cold meal it is... he thought and started unpacking some food.

he sat on a small open field and could watch to the sky. it was allready dark and he could gaze upon the stars. this is perfection he sighed and finished his food. before he went to sleep he stared to the dark sky much longer. but he took his katana off and layed it down beside him so he could grab it when necessary.
not much later he fell asleep again. but this night was much colder and the mist slowly took over the clear view.

Sora woke up early in the morning. he hoped the rest of his trip wasn't as boring as this part. he knew this wasn't a place for fights and there were just a few little villages with nothing much to steal from. he was cold of the night and his clothes were wet of the fog.

he decided to change his clothes so he wouldn't get sick. he unpacked a darkgreen thicker kimono with black hakama. it was cold outside but there was no place he could hide for it so he started changing in the field. he shivered of the wind and fog. after he changed he took his stuff and put his katana on again.

Sora heard something in the forest. he was on his guard and slowly took his katana. he dropped his stuff and made himself ready to fight. a little group of thieves ran out the forest towards the Samurai but they didn't think the young man was a strong and good fighter. they hacked and slashed, trying to reach Sora but he easily defeated them with a few slashes of his sword.

he cleaned his sword and checked the bodies for signs of the imperial army but nothing was to be found. he took is stuff again and quickly continued to the village. not even an hour later he walked on the highway near the village and waved to someone on the ricepaddy's.

home at lasthe thought and smiled.

Sora walked trough the village and passed several unknown people. also a few girls who blushed heavily when he looked their way but he didn't understand why. he shook his head and finally reached the inn. His father was the innkeeper for 10 years now and it had been very busy since. mostly there stayed merchants from over the mountains who travelled towards the imperial city.

He greeted his parents and his sister who was busy taking and bringing orders from clients. his mother hugged him and told him how happy she was to see him again and without a scratch. he smiled and told her he was glad too.

He walked to the back where they lived and put down his bag and took of his sword. he washed himself quickly by the sink and walked back in clean and cheerful.

"do you need any help, Otou-san?" he asked. his father smiled and nodded.
"I could use some help, Sora."
"what can I do for you? shall I help you with the drinks or Okaa-san with the food?"
"Go help your mother she needs it more than I do. and Sora, make sure you'll stay with her tonight. she cannot bare the idea of you leaving for good..." even his father looked sad.
The young samurai nodded and walked to his mother to help her. It was crowed allready although it was only early in the midday. It would be even more busy when the evening falls.

Although this wasn't the job Sora was used to he liked doing it for a day. And today he liked it even more because it would probably be one of his last days here.

Sora turned around and looked straight into the beautiful gold eyes of a young man. he wasn't able to speak for a moment and wondered why he actually had that kind of problem. when he found himself back again he smiled and greeted the guy.
"welcome in our Inn. can I help you with something?"

when he talked to the traveller, it definitely must be a traveller you could tell by his clothes, he tried to hide he was gazing at him. althought the man at the counter wasn't wearing very interesting clothes he still looked stunning.

Sora really needed to stop staring at the stranger and tried to look into the taverne of the Inn to avoid the amazing gold eyes.

what is this stranger doing with me? what is this feeling? he frowned and wondered if he'd knew he had feelings before. he was always busy training he didn't have time for things like that. what made him change like that in only a few days?

Sora had to keep telling himself to stay on earth. that smile was so attractive just like the rest of the young man. he tried to act normal and answered with polite.
"I'll make sure a room is ready for you. it's very busy so I think you'll have to wait a few minutes before a room is prepared. About the food, there's nothing better to eat in this whole village than the food in this Inn."

he bowed polite when he asked the traveller to wait a minute. he walked towards his sister and asked her to prepare the best room they had. she nodded and immediately ran upstairs to do as her brother asked her.

The young Samurai walked back to the counter and bowed again. "the room is made ready for you. Can I take an order allready?"

The little conversation was a great upportunaty for Sora to check out the boy better. his eyes were almost hypnotizing and his hair looked really soft. Sora used his highly advanced senses and smelled the forest around Fay. And that face and body... He almost drooled. He couldn't tell why felt comfortable but he really wanted to talk some more but his father needed him for something.

"I'm sorry my sister will show you your room. I'm wishing you a very good stay and ask if you need anything" he bowed again to the handsome stranger and than almost ran towards his father. He couldn't have stayed any longer near Fay because he confused him so much.
