As is typical, follow general shop rules. Please don't post here unless it's in character, otherwise feel free to without needing to pm me.

Don't steal the art or 'steal' Noire's life/personality/etc, please. Please keep all rp's with me and Noire, their families and what not under a pg-13 rating - I don't go anything above that. And because I feel like saying it, I'm a Christian~

Also, a little running contest I have, I do each of Noire's journal entries based on a song. If you can figure out what song it is first and PM the song title t Alistair first I'll draw you a doodle like in my journal for your next journal entry, too! Nothing special, just for fun, and I reserve the right of full artistic interpretation on the doodle as well xD If the journal entry has been 'won' by someone their name will be posted below the entry as a sort of claim and heads up for the rest of y'all.

...Takes a walk at 4am, wakes the neighborhood again; and I found myself recalling everything she used to tell me...

To be edited later; as of now, she hasn't grown anymore past her child stage and transmitter self!

...But I'd give it all away if I could see you on that day again when you quit work, threw the coffee at the manager jerk sayin' close your eyes, I gotta surprise, a house in the hills and a car that drives...

Noire 'Sinclair,' the hostess of this journal.
User Image
Full Name: Noire Jude Sinclair. (Say it 'Noy-err' ; She wasn't given a middle name so she stole her brothers.)
But you can call me... .. Not much except Noire. Some people in her family occasionally dub her 'nono'
Age: Around 13, now.
Height: Short for her age.
Weight: Average for her age plus about ten pounds compensating for her wings.

Theme Songs: U + Ur Hand - Seriously couldn't stop listening to this when I was drawing her/thinking of her personality. Femme power music, dismissive sort of attitude - and a music style that reminds me of and that she would listen to.

Trouble - Pink reminds me of Noire way too much. xD Not only is Noire a bit of a feminist, she likes to start revolutions, too! Oh. And get in trouble. And seduce people. ERR NOT YET THOUGH >.>

This Woman's Work - More to do with the history of her people and issues she has later as a teen/adult; no, she doesn't secretly have a baby hidden off somewhere! Rather, the guilt of all the other Rift Keepers and the sudden loss of their families - an entire planet, all over a clumsy rush for power they didnt understand. Lots of regret.

New born - Believe it or not, that little girl in the video was inspiration for a drawing, that would later be just another version of Noire. Kinda what she reminds me of in the song; little girl watching the world collide/destroy/etc. Not that it actually has much to do with the song - but in that respect, I think it's something that reminds me of all the Terra!

Favorite Colours: Anything dark, mainly blacks and greys. She generally loathes all bright/happy colours, with the stark exception of the duller, calmer shades of pink. She adores such pinks.
Favorite Foods: Green Tea Icecream.
Favorite Music Style: Rock, Pop Rock, Pop, Dance, Electronica
Favorite Activities: Getting into trouble with her brother, getting her brother into trouble, irritating people, yelling at people, trying to make people do stuff they don't wanna do, dancing, singing (she thinks she sings great but she really don't), showing off, playing dress up with her brother.
Favorite People: Her brother hands down. Her daddies and Sarria fall in close seconds.

History: Noire remembers quite a bit about her home planet, but she has decided to go the route of mostly ignoring and doing her own thing. She's on a very 'to my own benefit' route as a child; only paying attention to the memories that will aid her in strengthening or 'coolifying' her abilities rather than what she maybe ought to pay attention to. She doesn't choose to revel in most of memories, and thus doesn't know much of anything about her people.

Personality: A little girl trying to find herself in a house of very, very strong and loud personalities. She's found safety and trust, however, so she is easily contended and happy with the abundance of acceptance and love the free spirits she lives with offer her. She's developing, as one might predict, a very loud voice herself to keep up with those around her - trying to be manipulative, though it usually doesn't work, and acting out for focused attention. Despite the fun air of her household most everyone is doing their own thing and brother eats up what little 'you' time their guardians want to offer, so Noire tends to be a little obsessive about getting peoples attention and keeping it. Which is something her brother also does.

Her 'main' father, Sunny, is a vegetarian and it is something she almost instantly decided to do as well despite their other family members meat-habits. Rather than a case of animal pity it was more a case of strengthening the body, and she's more than normally curious for a girl her age to go with Sunny when he does physical or athletic activities, such as run or swim. She seems curiously interested in strengthening herself, even when kids are usually not the least bit concerned. That said, she's not a tomboy in the slightest. She's very girly, actually, at least in her dress. She's got a vain streak to be sure, but she usually doesn't throw that out there unless someone challenges her in some way.

Otherwise, Noire is a happy, relatively free-spirited girl who loves making jokes on (at) people and getting into mischief. While not as naturally inclined to music as her entire family is, she's learned to love it as she has to, and loves dancing...especially when brother caves and they twirl each other around.

...Waiting tables the next day, pulls a double and on her way to an audition in Hollywood, yeah, a little misunderstood, and I know she alone holds the key to everything I wanna be...

Rimonec (Rih-mon-eck) was a fairly muted, un-noteworthy planet on the farther end of the solar system among two other inhabitable worlds. Outshone, unspoke of, it wasn't anything at all until the main people of Rimonec, The self-named 'Rimones,' discovered their inherit abilities.

A fairly small population for a fairly small, unworthy world, quite suddenly the planet was swept over when it was discovered about 1/100 Rimones had an ability within them. It was a scientific discovery at first; a random experiment with the strange conclusion that some Rimones' cellular structure was reversed, negative, incompatible, and yet said Rimones still lived and thrived.

The planet itself was wintery cold, with black star-filled skies. While the people had lived their unmentionable existence for thousands of years, their technological advance was lacking to say the least. The people were very spiritual, and built gorgeous, ornate stone cities covered under the veils of a silky web-like material created by a spider like organism native to the planet. The veils served as protection from the frequent rain and snow, but also shimmered wonderfully in it's semi transparency against the night sky. As if entranced, the people of Rimonec spent much of their lives staring into the skies philosophizing. They spared little concern with propagating their species, as they were generally healthy, long lived creatures and saw no need to crowd their planet. Still the beauty this planet offered was incomparable to the pure majesty of their fellow system planets, and Rimonec's only tourism or trade revolved around their spider-silk and scientists wishing to study such.

As said, when the Rimones discovered their one in a hundred 'difference,' the one in a hundred were separated to be studied further. Thinking they may be capable of something spectacular, these separated subjects attempted all sorts of phenomenal feats only to find they could achieve nothing 'special.' It was soon discovered, however, that all of the subjects shared very frequent dreams; dreams about themselves, only different, in another world that was sideways, crooked, and mirrored. Turning their focus on this, the subjects finally discovered their purpose - they could rip holes into the very fabric of reality and discover the world in their dreams in all actuality.

After that, the process was easy. It didn't take much practice to learn how these 'tears' were created; a focused attention, a thought of what needed to be achieved, than a simple flick of the wrist and it was done. The exploits from these tears were numerous and varied; some found they could only act in one way, while others found they could achieve something different. Mostly, they were just brining balls of 'dream life,' through the tears; an explosive, destructive substance to any not capable of creating the tears themselves. These one in a hundred, suddenly named 'Rift Keepers,' swept back into their world with a sudden new hierarchy and aspiration. They split off into organized groups; some using their abilities for business, others for aid of their people, still others for power and control. Soon, the first war in thousands of years befell Rimonec, and there were many large, gaping, army-created rift-tears all over Rimonec's surface. When the war was over the population of 'Rift Keepers' had dwindled down to nearly nothing, and the planet's clear black, starlight skies turned hazey, deep purple, blue, like an everlasting aurora reflecting the once clear starlight. It was a strange beauty to be sure, but something horrifying at the same time.

The remaining Rift Keepers took it upon themselves to start closing the tears up, but before they could, calamity fell. The larges rift tears could no longer be controlled by a single Rift Keeper and the members and things from their parallel worlds, their dream instances, began coming in on their own. Out of control and rapid, the 'dream life' became horrific clouds of death - destroying the population of Rimonec in less than day and leaving only the Rift Keepers alive. Crest fallen and miserable, most that were left alive lost their will to live, and the planet became nothing more than a fanciful story to most.

...When I looked in my reflection I was horrified to find, there was seven deadly horsemen the angel close behind...

Noire has ... powers, yes. She's somewhat overpowered too, if you want to look at it that way.

Despite having wings, at her current age she can't use them for anything other than pointless flapping. She doesn't have super strength or great senses or magical immunity or anything outside normality EXCEPT her resistance to anti-matter and the ability to tear into parallel dimensions.

That is quite vague, yes, but as she goes about life only time will tell what that means.

...Oh now feel it coming back again, like a rolling thunder chasing the wind, forces pulling from the center of the earth again, I can feel it...

And I come on like a freak show takes the stage. We give them the games we play, she said...!

Ahh! Gotta rework this!

...Now you hold me, and we're broken. Still it's all I wanna do. Feel myself with a head made of the ground, I'm scared but I'm not coming down...

But what I really meant to say, couldn't live without you another day. How'd you get so low?

Noire lives in a quite filled household, consisting of prior oracles- turned bandmates-turned family. Exalted, famous, glorified, then slummed out at a sudden lack of recognition, power or funds, the interplanar group of Aborane has readjusted with surprising accuracy most easily attributed to their youth and... well, experimentational drugs.

Noire's main guardian, however, differs most highly from the other three of his band. He's a good man, relatively pure and straightforward in his motivations. His name is Vincent Sinclair, or more commonly, Sunny.

Sunny
(pictured to your right) is a guitarist and through his guitar playing has minor earth magics. The magics he and his bandmates share are unlikely to be shown or brought up on gaia, however, as their powers have become so muted to the point they are nearly non existant on home worlds other than their own. That said, their talent and exceptional skill playing the instruments is there regardless, and it was this that initially made them quite famous on a dimension similar to gaia. They have since come to gaia, however, and are no longer famous - living off the remnants of their fame till it's nearly run dry completely.

Sunny is 20 years old, and though he is the youngest, he's likely the wisest and most down to earth - in a way. He's adapted that spacey, living in and out of reality and into my own mind thing that so many of the older famous musicians have. He's morbid and pessimistic and shouts doomsday prophecies all day long, but his heart is to help and his intentions are to better people fix problems rather than create them. Though reluctant at first, he's come to love his daughter and sees in her a new found purpose that's given his usual morbid air a tinge of sunshine, even if she exhibits (or has begun to) more of his sister's cruelties and Eliot's promiscuity and Soloman's carefree, guiltfree attitude than he'd like.

Sunny's got a past full of glory, even more so than his companions. He was the most exalted oracle, and for a brief time in his youth was the crutch of an entire world. He's a mysterious one to be sure, and his general reluctance and social awkwardness makes him even harder to get to know.

Soloman reigns in as the second most influential on Noire's little life. A seemingly single, two dimensional man, Soloman held power similar but different from Sunny's in his youth. He had much less personality, however, and was a nearly robotic drone in his youth until he met his friends and became famous on another plane. He's addicted to rushes, to movement, to highs, to excitement, to feeding off the energy of other people and most dominantly the rush of battering away at drums in a mad frenzy of just slightly coordinated symphony. He's easy going and fun loving, and adores children far more than his friends - he's always game for fun and never the type to deny some more company, so the kids tend to love him; especially because he will almost always let them stay up late, eat chocolate for dinner lunch and breakfast, or go to bars with him late at night.

Eliot isn't really a kid person, but he likes to see them happy. While he isn't the type likely to spend an entire day babysitting, he brings home presents and throws them across the pool and then disappears again. Eliot has a very dark side despite his outer happy, jovial, flirtatious attire; he' was abandoned as a child, rather, willingly given away, he was replaced and mediocre and unimportant. He's become driven by a need to feel wanted, special and worthwhile, and he finds his fuel in the adoration of his partners or drugs and alcohol. Most people tend to keep him high; or at least away from the kids when he's landed back to reality. Eliot is a bass player.

Ashley is Sunny's half sister. She's embittered, cruel, manipulative, arrogant, observant, and strikingly beautiful in that menacing, sinister, far too perfect to be natural or believable up close way. She was a charismatic vocalist of their band, and has grown attached and used to the glory and fame she experienced. She's a diva, quite simply, and dresses and acts like one. Her motivations, however, seem to be second hand - she seems to organize more than one might let on, and plot more than anyone would be comfortable with. That said, she's got a fiercely possessive and jealous streak with her brother and her son, Harper, and every now and then it shines through with Noire as well - though far less dramatically.

...Sooner or later, you'll find out there's a hole in the wall...

Friends
Sarria - Sarria's Noire's friend. Her only friend. So I suppose we could call her her best friend.

...It's not my problem anymore, you see it never really was - so you can stop 'caring' as you call it, I'll be fine right here. You say that I can play a pretty convincing role, so I don't need you... I don't think I need you...

Where I Live

A rundown but large house on the corner, with old wood covering the floors inside and beautiful, aged stone on the outside. A huge, overrun garden and a recently renovated pool with a severe lack of furniture within, the charming little house became a party hot spot.

Noire's room is within a converted attic on the 'third' floor. She has an odd balcony you have to crawl through a small half door to get out on to, and it has no rails and is thusly rather unsafe. She's got a water bed and princessy veils of glittery pinks and gothic shades of black and gray, and her own sterio system. She's a very spoiled little brat.

...kickstart but don't degenerate her, sweet talk but don't intimidate her, can't stop the cops from engineering, feel no need for any interfering...

Noire, Terraform, Art (c) mes~

Journal idea on gaia, Anya!

A lot of the lyrics used in the banners (c) them, misinterpreted as they likely are. Most of the ones in the banners are from Better Than Ezra.

...walking in Memphis, but do I really feel the way I feel?..
