I think you should try to study from life so you'll have a better grasp at anatomy.

By the way, how do you begin drawing ? Do you draw some simplified figures at first (circles, etc.) ?

I think you're going on a fine start. Studying human anatomy and real life helps lots. ^__^ But everyone has their own styles and just do whatever you like. Like Clamps' works for xxxHOLIC and Tsubasa, that style are more tall and slender kind of style.

Keep up the work! =3

If I were in your place I would go to the library and check out a book on human anatomy. I would start drawing some of the poses that I find in the book and then continue from there. Once I could draw all of the poses in that book I would go and get another one.

A word from the wise, don't get "How to draw anime" books. They are going to try to force their own style on you. Use poses that you find to develop your own style.

Also, PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE!

i like your ideas, how to draw books help but the only thing ide like to add is on the smudging of your pictures, hard to avoid but a way to stop it is to use hairspray, just wash the nozzle after use and dont use over some pens, thell bleed, test it on a seperate peice of paper before trying it on your favorite pieces. and let it dry not touching anything... i mean another piece of paper just incase of bleeding.

mm yea practice on human anatomy that how everyone gets really good
reminds me how much I need to practice
reason my bodies keep coming out funny >_<

Pose Maniacs

is a really good site on poses
with anatomical correct poses
but its in Japanese >_<
sorry about that
I don't think you even know how much I love you right now. I have such a hard time finding poses that I like, and this just has TONS of them. Maybe I'll do a contest-y thing for people to do an art challenge or something with some of these poses.
