Indra sat lazily on the green grass next to a fairly spacious garden, his nose, as usual, stuck into a book. Humming lightly to himself, he finished his chapter and nosed the book away from him.
He flexed his paws a little to try out the grass, and finding it plush and comfy, he sprawled out and flipped onto his back to watch the clouds. Today was a perfect day for cloud watching- as he stared all sorts of shapes flew by. Dragons, minya, bunnies and hedgehogs trundled across the sky. After a while, he was fighting to keep his eyes open, and instead turned around to get some more reading done- he couldnt take a nap out here!

Near the place was a small lake. It wasn't that big but it had just the right size for a red colored Minya to deside it was perfect for a swim. Maluxsia had thrown herself in to the water from the other side and was now dog paddling through the water.
Ones she reached the other side she pulled herself out of the water and shook the wetness out of her fur. Unfortunatly it didn't seem like Maluxsia had noticed the Minya close by.

Indra yelped as beads of water rained down on his book, soaking into the pages and wrinkling them. He was lucky however, that his ears and face blocked the majority of the water. "What...rain?"
He looked up at the sky- it was still as blue as it was before! But what could it be? Indra got up and spun around, looking for the source. He was prepared to be angry at Sparrow, his younger sister for playing pranks on him again, but was quite shocked to instead see a pretty red minya shaking herself after a swim.

Maluxsia was rather surprised to hear a yelp. The sound made her stop shaking and stand still to look around. What was that...? She blinked when her golden gaze locked on another Minya who was looking strait at her.
It took her a moment but then she realiced what must have happened. "Oh! I'm sorry... Did I get you wet...?" She asked in her useual calm tone as she moved to pad a bit closer to the other Minya.

Indra just kind of stared with his mouth open for a few seconds before he realized the other minya was talking. "I, uh, a little- but dont worry about it. I'll just make sure my owner dries out the book before the pages stick together."
Slightly self concious of his appearance, he lifted a paw to make sure the water wasnt making the hair on his ears and head stand up funny. "I havent seen you around before... are you new here?" Not that he had seen many minya- he didnt socialize much. But Indra was sure he wouldnt forget seeing her around before.

Maluxsia tilted her head slightly to the side as she watched the male Minya. Why was he stareing at her like that? Hearing him she walked over to look at his book though. "Book...? Oh! I'm so sorry! I hope I didn't ruin it...!" She really needed to be a little more careful didn't she?
The other Minya's words soon had her attention elsewere though. "I've been around for a little while... But I guess I am fairly new around here." Shifting she sat down and sent the other Minya a gentle smile. "My name is Maluxsia. What's yours...?"

"Oh no, its only got a few drops- you didnt ruin it at all!" With a paw he closed the book and sat down across from Maluxsia.
"My name is Indra. Thats cool though- about you being new and all. I mean, I dont know many people as it is, but its always nice meeting new people." Indra laughed mentally at the slight verbal pun he had made, figuring it would be best not to look weird by just laughing at nothing. It also got his mouth to shut up- Indra had a bad habit of talking to much when he was nervous.

"I'm glad." Maluxsia was relived she hadn't ruined the other Minya's book. That wouldn't be a good way to make friends. "Indra huh? That's a nice name..." The red Minya watched the male infront of her for a moment befor looking towards his book. "What were you reading...?"

Indra blushed slightly when she said that she had liked his name. "Your name is very pretty too..." He smiled goofily and looked over at his book.
"Oh- that? Its just a collection of different fantasy stories- my owner lent it to me."

Maluxsia giggled as he said her name was pretty. "Well thank you..." She replyed only to grin at him. "That's such a cute smile." She was more teasing him than flirting really. The red minya desided she liked this male. He amused her.
Tilting her head she placed her attention back on the book. "Is it any good...?"

Indra blushed. He blushed so hard his face was nearly purple and one of his ears was slightly twitching. Not many people ever complimented him, and it was slightly more gratifying coming from a pretty girl minya than anyone else.
"The book.... I like it a lot! I mean, you hafto like fantasy stories to like it, but if you do its awesome." He nosed the book foreward so she could take a look at the cover- it was covered in ornate silver and gold sketches of fantasy creatures.

The new color of Indra's face only had Maluxsia giggling more. The blue Minya really was amusing and the way his ear was twitching made her just want to paw at it.
Maluxsia managed to restrain herself though and insted kept her attention on the book. "Fantasy huh...?" She was quiet for a moment befor looking up at him beaming him a gentle smile. "Would you read some for me...?"

Indra slightly gaped at Maluxsia. "You... want me to read for you?" At first, it sounded like a strange request, but the more he thought about it the more comfortable he became with the idea. "I suppose- yea, sure!"
He nosed the book over and sat beside her- sometimes there were pictures in the book, and he wanted to make sure she could see them. Pawing the book open he picked one of his favorites, a shorter story about a young man who had no talent. Eventually, he runs across a strange shop, where the man inside gives him a talent- the talent to see ghosts. The young man eventually sets up a psychic office and becomes rather wealthy. However, his pride is his undoing and at the end he can no longer see the ghosts, but ends up becoming one.
After he was finished reading, he looked up at Maluxsia... "Did you like it?"

Maluxsia nodded in reply to Indra. "It's nice having someone read for you..." That was her excuse anyway. She was curious too. When Indra brought the book over Maluxsia moved to lay down besides him. She made sure to get comfetabal.
Listening to Indra read she inched a bit closer to see the pictures better and about the time he finished she was laying with her head on one of his paws.
"It was a good story..." She desided as she glanced up at him. "A bit sad though wasn't it...?"

Indra looked up from the book, and then down at Maluxsia. He hadnt even noticed that she had moved onto his paw, but wasnt going to complain either. However, Indra's mind was racing at the implications of this. Does that mean she likes me?!
It took him a few seconds after she spoke to realize she had been talking. "Uh, yea... it was a little sad. But usually sad stories have the best morals." Indra wasnt sure what to do at this point. The story took longer than expected, and it was getting late; which meant he should get home. But he really didnt want to get up and ruin the first 'moment' he had ever had. If it was a moment. Indra still whats really sure exactly what a 'moment' was.
In other words, Indra was just confused.
