Stargate: Continuum is a planned direct-to-DVD movie which will be written by Brad Wright and directed by Martin Wood. Some scenes for this movie were already shot at the end of March 2007, but the original start date was set for May 22 at Vancouver's Bridge Studios. The production budget was $7 million. The movie will be released on DVD in 2008, followed by possible TV broadcasts. According to Robert C. Cooper, it is planned to have them released internationally on DVD by MGM at the same time. Distribution and domestic release will occur through FOX. Cooper mentioned that nothing has been finalized for sure though.
Stargate: Continuum will be a time-travel adventure. It will be the second sequel to Stargate SG-1, after Stargate: The Ark of Truth.
The movie will include scenes filmed at the US Navy's Applied Physics Laboratory Ice Station in the Arctic, 200 nautical miles north of Prudhoe Bay, Alaska. These scenes will feature Richard Dean Anderson, Amanda Tapping and Ben Browder. They were filmed between March 23 and March 29, 2007. The scenes will also feature the USS Alexandria (SSN-757). The Arctic filming included scenes shot on the ice, scenes shot with the Alexandria as a backdrop, scenes shot on board the Alexandria, and a surfacing shot of the Alexandria.
Cast Ben Browder and Amanda Tapping on location in the Arctic filming scenes for the filmBen Browder as Lt. Col. Cameron Mitchell Amanda Tapping as Col. Samantha Carter Christopher Judge as Teal'c Claudia Black as Vala Mal Doran/Qetesh Beau Bridges as General Hank Landry Michael Shanks as Dr. Daniel Jackson Cliff Simon as Ba'al Richard Dean Anderson as Major General Jack O'Neill Don S. Davis as Lieutenant General George Hammond Jacqueline Samuda as Nirrti
Plot
While SG-1 attends the execution of Ba'al, the last of the Goa'uld System Lords, Teal'c and Vala inexplicably disappear into thin air. Carter, Daniel and Mitchell (how they are unaffected by the alteration is not yet known) race back to a world where history has been changed: the Stargate program has been erased from the timeline. As they try to convince the authorities what's happened, a fleet of Goa'uld motherships arrives in orbit, led by Ba'al, his queen, Qetesh (Vala), and his first prime, Teal'c. The remaining SG-1 members must find the Stargate and set things right before the world is enslaved by the Goa'uld.
Writer Brad Wright has stated that this movie will be a stand alone and it's hoped it will launch a continued series of movies based on the SG-1 TV series. Wright also stated fans can expect many guest stars including characters that have been "killed off" (and ones that have gone "off the radar", not dead) during the TV run.

This thread seems old but I just watched Stargate Continuum for the very first time the other day and I thought it was very good.
