I did the bad thing and made a JtHM fanfic... *slaps self* I feel this needs a brief explanations so those that know the comics don't feel cheated. This is set pre-homicide Johnny, so he will be a bit out of character for most of it.
Capter 1- Cassandra Gemini
A deep inhalation of air, a drop of sweat, a whimper and she was awake, sitting upright sweaty and shaking as she tried to clear the sleep from her head. She looked around the room, a splitting headache and a bit disoriented. She was on the floor in the living room of her small and cluttered apartment, the morning sun filtering feebly through the heavy curtains. She wondered in a detatched way the events of the past few years to make her this way. Before she had turned 17 there had been full and happy days, a normality she found herself missingit sorely. Now sleeping and awake seemed the same thing, and staring at nothing all day while her thoughts chased each other was an acceptable passtime. Cassandra sighed, pulling herself up off the filthy floor and did the first thing she did every morning, counted the alcohol bottles. Seven on the floor, three were empty. The ones with something of themselves left to offer were stowed in the freezer for later consumption while the empty ones were left where they had previously fell. She wandered a bit unsteadily into the bathroom to get ready for what would be her first day of classes at the community college. She flushed the toilet while she brushed her teeth, grimacing at the smell of vomit as the mess swirled downwards. Drinking herself sick the night before could be the reason she wanted nothing to do with food despite her rumbling stomach. Of course, she couldn't remember getting sick, maybe Bunny had done it. Once more in the kitchen she grabbed a bottle of water and dumped three xanax into her hand. One she took immediatly, gulping down the entire bottle of water with it, the other two went into her pocket, just in case. She didn't have a problem, she only did what was nessecary, or so she told herself. She had stopped attending sessions with her psychologist a year before when she had left the hospitol in a half hearted attempt to fix herself alone in the real world. As a rather unfortunate result her supply of anti psychotics had been cut off. She had resorted to buying anti depressants and drugs for anxiety at street value from random yo boys in order to controll her symptoms. They worked alright most of the time, and no one could deny she was a resorsful person, sometimes. She pointed her finger threateningly at a dingy stuffed blue bunny on the counter, "Don't you judge me, Bunny!", she scolded, "no one's shoving pills down your throat!" That being said she hefted a messanger bag onto her shoulder and let the apartment, locking the door behind her. As she walked, greedily sucking down her cigarette, every step filled her with dread. Even with the calming, emptying effects of the xanax coursing through her viens she could feel the tension mounting. Maybe she hadn't thought this all through well enough, maybe she go tell Dr. Cattz she was wrong. There would be HUNDREDS of people all around her at campus, all staring at her, maybe even reading her mind. The thought made her shudder. She had only signed up for two classes, and it had been a rare stroke of genius on her part that she had scheduled the art class first, it shouldn't be to bad. Abnormal Psychology, however was a different matter. What if the teaher knew everything as soon as he saw her, all her failures and flaws. Dr. Cattz had known everything about her the first time they'd had a session afterall, and she assumed this psychic ability was something all psychologist shared, the thought made her nervous, her insides squirming as though they were alive. She stumbled down to the basement classroom and looked into the classroom. Great, late on the first day, how did she always manage to do this sort of thing? She could feel her own nervousness over powering her drug as she stepped into the classroom trying to be silent. As soon as the door shut every face seemed to turn to her and the teacher fixed her with a disaproving look. "And here you are!", the professor said in mock enthusiasm, "The slacker that's late for the first day! there's Always one of you." Cassandra stared down at her feet, feeling the heat of the blush on her cheeks, "I'm sorry...", She said, offereing no sacrificial excuses for her lateness. "What's your name?" "Cassandra Gemini." The teacher made a mark on the papers in front of her, "Well, miss Gemini, if you're quite done wasting my time with your tardiness, you can sit down so we may begin." "Yes ma'm", Cassandra looked up for the first time and looked around the room, two seats left and they both just happened to be beside the most terrifying guy in the class. He wore all black and was a bit taller than the average man, skinny. His hair was long and hung in his eyes, he glared through it as she sat down next to him. All she could think was shitshitshitshitshit.

Chapter 2- The Starting
Johnny sat in the empty basement classroom, supplies laid out neatly at the table he occupied. He was leaning the chair back onto two legs when other students began filing in, looking cranky at the early hour of 9am. He glared at them all as they walked past him, inwardly grinning that his glare's ability to kept the seats around him empty. He hated people as a general rule, stupid cows. When all the seats besides the two next to him were full the professor stood and began going through the roll, trying to familiarize herself with her students and making notes about nicknames people prefered to real names. Johnny didn't bother to tell her he liked to be called Nny, he planned to have very few conversations with her so there was no point. The role had just been finished when a girl stepped into the classroom. She appeared as though she had just had a rough night, her eyes glazed over. Her hair, long and brown, would've been shiny had she bothered to brush it out before tossing it halfhazardly atop her head. She wore a plain navy hoodie and plain jeans. In fact, everything about her appearance seemed purposfully engineered to help her blend in and remain as invisible as humanly possible. He couldn't help but smile at the teacher's brief cruelty, but she offered no excuses, something he was suprised by. She looked like she should be so full of excuses she could explode from them. He gave her a scathing look as she quietly sat down to the right of him. She looked nervous and antsy as she bent her head down and closed her eyes as though trying to clear something out of her mind. He sniffed disgustedly and whispered to her, "You stink like cigarettes". Her eyes snapped open and she looked at him bewildered. "What?" "You-stink-like-smoke." He repeated slowly for her, what an idiot. Cassandra furrowed her brow at him, "Well, that sort of thing tends to happen when you smoke.", she replied dryly. Inwardly she cringed at her sarcasm, her mouth always did things without her brain's approval, outwardly she remained unreadable and blank faced. She scratched her head and sighed. "This is art, right?", trying to patch over the sarcasm with meaningless conversation. "I was under the impression that this was the class on how to diembowel people." "I didn't think that class met untill 8pm.", She responded. She felt a little better when he smiled, all be it a rather twisted and disturbing smile. The rest of class was spent in silence. Thankfully Cassandra wasn't late for her psych class, despite her detour to the drink machine and then the bathroom for a redose on the xanax in the hopes of easing away some of the nauciating tension of so many people. She was suprised to see the sinister guy from art sitting in her psychology class. She sat next to him again, despite his obvious annoyance at her choice. It was easier for her be around someone she'd already talked to, and besides, what better way to blend in than possitioning yourself close to someone who stuck out so much? Maybe the teacher would be to busy trying to figure this guy out and not even notice her. "You again," he mumbled at her in disgust. "So it would seem," She agreed, "Do you think maybe we should trade numbers or something since we're in these classes together?" "And why would I want YOUR number?", he scoffed at her, a little amused at her obvious embarassment. "I'm just thinking if you miss a class I can tell you what you missed and if I miss one you can do the same for me," Cassandra stumbled over her words, looking down again. Jesus, this guy was an a**. "You know what, just forget I asked." They spent the rest of the period in an uncomfortable sort of silence. The professor wasted no time jumping right into his lessons, begining with brain synapses and the complicated workings of the nervous system. At the close of class, Johnny was the first to stand up to leave, but before he scurried out he leaned over Cassandra's note book and scribbled down a phone number with the name 'Nny" under it.

CHAPTER 3- AND THE CUPBOARDS WERE BARE
Cassandra stepped back into her apartment and flicked the light switch on. 12:30 in the afternoon and nothing to do untill the next day, she let the massanger bag thump heavily to the floor. Of course the first place she went was into the kitchen, lighting a cigarette on the way to the freezer. She pulled the now frosty whiskey bottle from the icy depths, just a little something to take the edge off. She owned cups, and they were somewhere, but she just never saw any point in bothering with finding and using them. She opted to swig her liquor straight out of the bottle instead. She slipped the third Xanax from her pocket and dropped it back into the plastic perscription bottle. She was shocked, and maybe even a little proud, that she had made it through the day with only two, and she was now in possession of a living person's phone number. Her mother would've applauded this rare display of social bravery, and that made her smile a little even though it didn't quite reach her eyes. The rest of the night was spent reveling in the false happiness of booze and valiums as she worked on a sketch for the art class and read about the different chemicals neurons fired off for pain, pleasure, and other various sensations. Once these tasks were completed she drank infront of her small television set untill the fatefull hour of four am when it was revealed that there was no more alcohol left in the house and only one cigarette. She lit her last cigarette and began scrounging around for her money. She had another week before her monthly check came in from her inheritance. Since Her brother was in prison for attempted murder she got it all and Dr.Cattz, he shrink, had set it up so that she got a check once a month instead of the whole lump sum at once. Currently she had enough for a couple packs of cigarettes, a twelve pack of cheap beer, and something to snack on. Although, if she skipped the food she could get a 40 and a 12 pack, and the more alcohol in her possesion the happier she felt. "OF COURSE I'm going to get the food and not the 40!", cassandra yelled in the general direction of the blue bunny, "I'm not stupid, I know food is important!" She shoved the cash into her jean pockets and slumped out into the cool night air.
