I was my room doing homework, and then my mom comes in.She just stood in the doorway for a moment, and then asked me,"What kind of guitar do you want?An electric or acoustic?"I said electric, then she left.
So what do think, maybe I'll get one?Or is it just a false alarm?

I think that "Electric or acoustic" is a bit of a broad spectrum question. DId she ask a brand preference and whatnot?

Draomere Get ready for a shitty guitar lol. My first was a Peavey. God that thing was a piece of s**t. Hey, first guitars tend to be. But at that stage in your playing, all you need is something with strings that you can learn on. Then you get something cool later on when you've actually learned. I'd been dropping hints that I wanted to learn guitar for ages, and then a few weeks before my 15th birthday, my mum comes into my room, wakes me up, and says "Hey Cat, you said you wanted a guitar, right...." They drove me down to the shops that very evening to get a guitar. Okay, it was a cheapo starter strat, but I remember bringing it home and staring at it in awe like it was the most amazing thing ever. (Heh, cheap and scratchy that guitar may be, but I still love it.)

My first guitar was an Ibanez GSA20. It was a solid guitar. But the Peavy Amp sucked.

A lot of people seem not to like them, but I really enjoy playing mine, the sound on it is just perfect for my kinda playing and it feels lovely in my hands. I seem to be the only person in the musicians' guild who likes BC Riches... crying

If you're satisfied, that's great. It's good that you are. I just think people looking to get a guitar ouhgta know that me and others have had bad experiences with them, that we didn't necesarilly have with other brands.

I didn't just pick it because "OMG it looks cool lolz." (Although it does look cool...but that's not why I bought it.) I genuinely think it's the right bass for me. My only issue with it is that it goes out of tune quickly, but that doesn't really bother me because I'm quick enough at putting it back in tune again.
