I try to share my love of Rammstein with my brother.
And with every music video I showed, he had something to criticize.
Even during Mutter!
One of the saddest songs...
"What's that right there? That's a swastika. Effing nazis!"

He was referring to the grate above Till's head.

He said in one shot he saw a swastika.

It's just so lame.
Everyone in my family gets pissed at me for listening to them.
"They have a song about eating a p***s/gay sex/incest/hermaphrodites!!

They hear the lewd and dark songs, and then when they have a very beautiful touching song...
They won't even give the band a chance.

I showed my little brother, and he loves them. My parents and other siblings, not so much. They don't really like the Germans! Which is incredibly stupid, considering the circumstances. rolleyes

My sister really hates them, but she does like Amerika, and my mum does too.
Dad hasn't heard their stuff but he refers to me as 'Miss RammstEEn' sometimes. (I know rammstein is spelt wrong, I'm emphasising on how my dad says it.)
Alot of my friends like the song Ich Will but hate the rest of thier stuff. I'm stuck in a very strange world!

I was born in America but my parents are German.
My dad just likes Du Hast...
And Buck Dich, lmao. He's a pretty chill guy.
But my mom hates Till's voice. I get all sad when we're in the car and when I tell her I want to listen to some of my music, she gets all, "IT'S NOT THAT RAMMSTEIN STUFF IS IT?"
DEAR LORD.
My brother likes Benzin. He thinks the video is hilarious. And he likes how Till pronounced Kerosin. I dunno, I bet if he listened to more of their stuff he'd like them more. I also found out he likes Mein Teil.
My friends just think they're creepy *****. O:
(And they think they're gay because of Zwitter and Mann Gegen Mann.)

My grandmother saw me watching the Volkerball concert and saw Till marching out to the mic and said "that looks nazi-ish" I defended them by stopping the dvd and showing her the documentary and then she thanked me for showing her that. I'm not sure if that means she likes them, but at least she knows I'm not a neo-nut for liking them.

Back when I first started listening to them, my mom was actively hating on them. She went through my room while I was gone and confronted me about the Sehnsucht cover when I got home. gonk
She also didn't like the Reise, Reise poster I brought home, and demanded to know why "that man" was holding a baseball bat. I pulled out my cell phone and was like "Hold on, I'll call Richard and ask."
She hasn't talked to me about Rammstein since. =)

...those they equate with hippies... wow. amen. heart yeah it's really annoying. everyone thinks they're nazis just because they sing german metal. i mean come on, if they were a skinhead punk band maybe i would understand. but these people are just being ********. even as a polish american i'm not that narrow-minded and archaic.

Meine Mutter einerseits, doesn' t mögen sie sehr. She' ll gehen, " plese Änderung es an etwas different."
(My mother on the other hand, doesn't like them very much. She'll go, "plese change it to something different.")
Gut kam mein Bruder mich in sie. (Übrigens, ist er nicht mit dem neuen Album. sehr vernarrt)

idk if my dad would like them, cause he's dead lmao. my mom would never like them, she hates metal in every form. and so does my stepdad. my seven year old brother might like them, he listens to all my music hahaha!
