The Great Hall of Castellum Argentus has been beautifully decorated for this joyous occasion. At long last the remaining heir of the Sun Court is ready to wed his bride and make her his Queen.
Delicate gauzy white fabric hangs in sheer sheets from the ceiling, drifting in gentle unseen breezes. Lilies are the prominent flower scattered around the space in giant vases and urns, and wrapped in wreaths around the columns.
In front of the dais is set a pedestel with a marble bowl filled with water atop it. The sun streams through the windows and seems to focus and reflect in the water.
Long wooden benches lined with white cushions are set in rows in the center of the hall. Off to the sides, tables are set and waiting to be moved into the hall proper for the feast after the ceremony. ((The reception will be a continuous RP through Wednesday evening for those that can't make it to the ceremony.))

From a side chamber, King Cervus emerges, escorted by his Kithain, Sajhiri. He is wearing a white tunic with golden trim, bands of gold threaded in his antlers. White satin ribbons wrap his wings, binding them in the tradition that he shall not fly again until it is by the side of his wife.
As they approach the pedestal, he gives Sajhiri a smile, and she leans up to kiss his cheek in a motherly gesture before stepping away to sit in the front row.
The Sun King turns to look expectantly down the columned aisle to await his bride.

*lilium appears from the other chamber dressed in a white gown with a long flowing train. She too is accompanied by her Kithain *Washu*. She makes her way to the pedastal and takes her place by Cervus' side*
*She turns to face him trying to hold back the nerves she's been fighting all day*

Cervus reaches to take Lilium's hand over the waters of the marble bowl, and the sunlight dances across their skin above and below, from the rays, and the reflections off the watery surface.
The King turns to the assembly and his voice is strong and clear as he speaks. "My people, this day we rekindle the traditions of our families, of our court, of our kind. Two lines of blood shall join to make each stronger, and to bind hearts tighter in love and loyalty. Let not the traditions of our ancestors be forgotten."
He turns then to Lilium and cradles her hands within his own. "Lilium, since the day of your birth I have been honor bound to take you as my wife. Since the day our eyes met, I have been spellbound by your beauty, gentility, kindness and wisdom. I am proud this day to take vows with you, and ask you once more, before the assembled Sun Court, will you consent to be not only my wife, but take on the responsibilities and grave duty of my Queen?"

*she can't believe how calm he seems. Either he really is this calm or he's a great actor. She looks into his eyes.* {He's got beautiful eyes. They are so......... No. Don't get lost in thought here} Yes. Yes I do. I will consent to be your wife and queen.

Relief washes over Cervus' features and his smile broadens. "Then shall we take the vows decreed by our forefathers this day, and when next we soar the skies, it will be as husband and wife."
His hands curl beneath hers and he lifts her knuckles to his brow, dipping his head, carefully mindful of his antlers. "Lilium, by the honor of my blood and in the name of my family, I pledge to thee all that I am, and all that I have. I shall serve forevermore as thy husband, every day the sun rises in its journey across the sky, and every night as it awaits it's rebirth with the dawn. As the sun is eternal, so are my vows. I take thee as my wife."

*As he says his vows her eyes close and she listens to his words* {This really is forever isn't it?} but as he goes on her nervousness fades. She realizes this is her destiny. When his words end She follows suit taking his hands and says her vows*

Cervus smiles softly and with his right hand holding Lilium's, he guides both hands down into the sunlight reflected in the water, into the cool liquid to the bottom, at which lay a pair of rings. Gold, with sunbursts on the top. Small rubies and citrines make the triangular rays, but the center of the celestial fireball is made of solid diamond, faceted brilliantly.
On one side of each ring is carved a stag's head, and on the other, a lily, their totems joined in the band which signifies their union.
Cervus draws out Lilium's ring and slides it on her finger. "I take thee as my wife, and my Queen..." he says softly as he puts it in place.

*lilium returns his smile which actually broadens as the ring is place on her finger. She then Withdraws Cervus ring and slips it on his finger* I take thee as my husband, and my King.

With the exchange of rings and vows Cervus leans over the water to kiss his bride.
Sajhiri opens a box to release a flight of doves which soar through the sunlight streaming in. She applauds the union loudly, happy tears in her eyes which she dabs at with a hanky.

Sajhiri moves to hug *Washu* and chuckles at her best friend's enthusiasm. "Now maybe we can rest easier. Probably not, but it's a nice thought isn't it?"
Cervus straightens from the kiss, and leads his bride up to the dais to help her get seated on the Queen's throne. The circlet is placed on her head, the Sun Queen's crown.
As the cheers rise, tables are moved into the hall and the feast foods are set out along the walls on longer tables, buffet style.

**Washu* returns the hug* Something tells me we can't really rest. But then again I've been kinda paranoid of late.
*Lilium takes her rightful place. That is what it is now. Her rightful place she thinks to herself* {It wasn't so bad. I got through it. I really did good for myslef here. A king and he's got a great...Stop that. Your a queen now. you shouldn't be thinking like that} *She smiles at Cervus as he places the circlet atop her head*

Cervus sits back as a table is laid out before the royal couple by magical means, with roasted pheasant, pork loin, and a variety of side dishes. He smiles at Lilium and murmurs "Are you happy, my dear?"
