Ildri let her hooves take her away from the Ocean-away from her past-away from her old home-away from her memories of her lost love. She had wanted to move on for a long time, but feared that her love might return one day. It was finally time for her to let go of her old feelings and admit that he was never coming back to her.
Wandering into the unknown lands, she gazed around as everything around her shone in the mid-day sunlight. "Pretty," she muttered under her breath, making a mental note to come back here. She didn't want to stay here for fear of her old live creeping up on her again. A wanderer she had become despite the fact that she wasn't used to that. shuddering, she layed down on the ground and waited for something or someone to come by.

Viktor had wandered unusually far from his usual haunting grounds. It was mid-day, and the sun shone brightly; the sun beat down upon him relentlessly, forcing even him to squint as he picked his way through the root-broken terrain.
He was thinking about his encounters with the foals in Shrilal... the most enjoyable time of his life thus far. Frightening youngsters into submission, into secrecy, into betrayal... it was the drug he so yearned for every day of his life. A few of the less-than-trustworthy foals hadn't returned back to him for reports, and he never saw them again, but the young ones that were frightened into being used had proved to be useful in his plan of attack.
That is, until one gave away the plan to her mother. A little pink one... stupid is as stupid does, they always say. It seemed like such a long time before, Viktor's memories of the incident were fuzzy, tampered, as if someone had tried to erase them.
He continued along at a relatively quick speed, extending his wings to serve as balance as he climbed around the rooty trees and jumped over the streams.

[sorry about the delay. was going to reply last night, but ended up getting home really late. ^^;]
Ildri pricked her ears up as she heard the soft sounds of hoofbeats in the area. Picking herself off of the ground, the dark Ichsa mare gazed around the area until she saw Viktor in the distance. His odd coloring reminded her of her lost love and she bounded a few steps towards the unknown male until she spotted his tail. That crashed her hopes and dreams as she stared at Viktor's tail sadly. "Not him," she muttered under her breath.

Viktor craned his head around and saw a darker mare, one with a very odd sort of coloration that he had not seen before. She looked sort of disappointed. Well, it was not like he could disappoint her, as he hadn't spoken to her yet and wasn't planning to, and he had no idea who she was. Yet, he couldn't help but notice that she said something to herself.
Viktor stopped in his tracks and studied the mare more carefully. Her mane and tail were like bursts of flooding sunlight at sunset, causing the few crystals above the ground and the vast expanse of ocean to turn dark and the sky to turn blood-red; his favorite time of day, sunset was. The nocturnal creatures stirring, the day-dwellers stumbling to their homes. And he was there to eat them all.
Laughing silently to himself, he turned away from the mare. He had no business with her, never had and never will, and was determined to reach the edges of the Crystal Lands by sundown the next day; he would never make it if he didn't keep moving.

Ildri didn't noticed that the other Nequus was moving away from her for a few moments. All her thoughts were on her old mate. She often wondered why he had left her. Was it because he was an Aeri and she an Ichsa? She never understood why half-breeds were shunned away from society.
It was then that she heard the soft hoofbeats of a Nequus heading away from her. She turned her gaze upward and saw that the oddly colored Aeri was heading away from her. "Oh, he is leaving?" She canted her head to one side and just stated. "I really wanted to know what his name was, too. Oh, well."
