Hey. What recording programs do you all use regularly? Also what equipment do you use for the recording?

I have Mackie micro series 1202-VLZ mixer, an Alesis M-EQ 230 equalizer, and two direct boxes. This all leads to my PC where I use Audacity to record on. It may be a free ware program, but I records better and has better features than other recording programs that I have used. Any thoughts?

I want to first apologize for my absence.
I've been busy, lately.

As for the programs, Brad, I use FL Studio 7 Producer Edition, Acid Pro, and somtimes Sound Forge.

Sadly, I do not record.
So, I have no equipment.
I use VSTs (Virtual Instruments).

However, recently, I switched to Linux.
And, I don't think I can get FL Studio for Linux.
So, before I continue with music, I have to get another computer, put Linux on it instead, then put Windows back on my laptop.

Unless I can find a torrent with FLS for Linux.
-Shrugs.-

I use fruity loops to make drum tracks then export that to a digital recorder then record my guitars on that then export it all back to my computer where i do the final mixing on cakewalk and fruity loops then export it again to an mp3 file.. that's my process smile

I use FL Studios for my electronic music, 8-Bit Zombie, and for recording/editing (along with some mastering for my programmed music) I use ProTools 7. I'm currently using an M-Box 2 for my outboard gear (required to have something for ProTools), along with a rack-mounted Korg X5-D processor, a Summit compressor, and a TC Electronics processor. For true mastering I use WaveLabs. In all of my computer recording/composing programs I use VST plug-ins (both free and bought). For some of my recorded stuff, you can check out my band Tindalos.
