Range + Battles Maps - Draft - Rank 2 Rules

For those players willing to go the extra level in playing, "Rank 2" rules will be posted for other types of RP/Arena Battles that might be used. To be able to take full advantage of range, battles maps will introduced. Here, battle maps add a whole new element of tactic and strategy for your character when entering battle, and enables you to play a character which you otherwise weren't able to in the v1.0

Here's a quick overview of what it consists of-

Area maps:

Maps such as these may be relatively small compared to others. However, you see most of the elements of a typical map here; Tall grass, bushes, & cliffs. These enable the characters others skills they may have purchased or received in the arena. They also may have advantages over other players in a different position from you, like if you were standing on a rasied area.

Here are some examples:

Standing on a raised platform / area:

Whilst shooting down at someone from great heights, you get a far clearer view at your target, thus increasing your Attack Dice mod. by 1.5 after it's been resolved.

Example:

Ex. : Att/3 x Dice roll = New Attack x 1.5
Ex. in imaginary numbers: 15/3 x 4 = 20 x 1.5 = 30

Note: All number that result in a decimal are rounded down.

Melee characters may not strike from the platform.

In order to leap off the platform, you risk suffering a damage roll depending on how tall it is. You also lose your chance of attacking for jumping and recovering.

In water:

If there comes a times where you are both in the water, all of your battle stats are reduced by half.

Wearing heavy armour results in all your stats being reduced by 1/3 of it's value

On roads:

Travelling on roads is easier going than moving around in the wilderness.
Your Speed stat is increased to double it's value.

Tall grass:

Waiting in tall grass hides you from your unsuspecting opponents view. First strike when the battle begins.

When you are both battling in tall grass, Agility is reduced by half.
