I picked up the Australian PC authority whilst traveling yesterday. One article that did catch my eye was "Secret Websites - The 50 best site you've never visited." Though i had heard of some of the sites, i thought i would share the interesting ones which relate to what this guild is about. Feel free to add some more XP
www.picnik.com - Probably the best online photo editor. Period. Much speedier and easer to use then rival Picasa. Best things about it? No downloads, easily uploads straight to flickr and no logins required.
www.elance.com - Planning to work for yourself? Elance is a one stop site for everything freelance, bringing thousands of professionals and projects to your screen. Outsourcers post projects online for free, then suppliers bid for the job. It's a pretty straightforward site so you can go about your business with ease.
www.jumpcut.com - An easy to use online video editor. Everything is effortlessly dragged and dropped into position, including a decent library of swish titles and video effects.
www.robgalbraith.com - ALL about photography. Software and kit is covered as well as photojournalism stories with off-beat and original angles, plus news about online and offline competitions and exhibitions.
www.fark.com - Not just a site for bizarre news, this site is renowned for its regular Photoshop competitions, where an image is supplied and visitors can show off retouching skills and sense of humor. Other competitions include caption competitions, audio-editiong challenges and exhibitions of users' original photography.
