This is just me testing the waters around here with a rather obscure foreign filmmaker I happen to be a little obsessed with at the moment. I've only seen two films of his, The Cook, the Thief, His Wife, and Her Lover which I thought was an amazing revenge tragedy which reminded me of Sergio Leone in the intentional use of stereotypical plots and broad characters and great attention to visual details to make a very ambiguous movie that is also very entertaining, and A Zed and Two Noughts, which was interesting but made with a good deal less skill. Does anyone here have any opinions on the man?
