Here, you should post general or specific advice for building and running RPs. Also, this might be used to lay subtle hints as to the problems with some RPs, so if you have an RP, and someone posts here, please read it!
My first tidbit...
Remember, a good story needs conflict, and in an RP, that usually means an antagonist/villain.
One more thing.
All toasters toast toast.

Another thing. If you make an rp, make sure to keep it going. Otherwise people get bored and leave.

And remember, just as a lack of conflict can kill an RP, so can its introduction resurrect one.

If you're all about selecting your characters, remember, the people that play the best villains are the nicest, smartest people you know. It's easy to play your opposite. I've acted, and have been in countless RP's. That system never fails.

Hmm...that's an interesting theory...it does appear to hold water.

Well, it works, even if only for me. The best character's I've ever made or played on stage were people I'd beat the living piss out of if I met them.

Hey, Doc...I have an idea...let's combine our principals. If you're so good at playing antagonists...you can introduce them to some of our dead RPs...thusly creating conflict and reviving them!
The only problem is that it'd take a lot of reading on your part.
