What is really screwing me up is that I only drew the outline of the body, and the face by hand. I was going to draw the whole thing out by hand first, but I ran out of ideas and just threw the picture aside. Then a couple of days ago I was bored and decided to practice shading the skin on the outline sweatdrop . It was going to be my first photoshoped picture that isn't coloured using cell shading, and I wanted to be sure I could do it. But since I put effort into it, I decided that I was going to actually use it. 3nodding
Now nothing I try works. I try to start on another part of the picture only to fail. Then I try doing another part and I fail at that too gonk . I just need a little help brain storming, to get the creative juices flowing (mostly for the clothes and hair), so I can continue. I have done some brain storming with a couple of friends, but it's always good to get more opinions 3nodding . What I have already done is just an idea, I'm willing to change what I already have to make it work.(except the body neutral ) And I would be grateful if you could point out the areas that I need to fix up. ( I know the hands suck by the way) And it would be extremely helpful if you could be descriptive about what looks wrong.
Also, I know the colours are really light but they need to be that way for the background which will be this:

except bigger obviously. Sorry about the water mark, I just felt the urge to water mark something xd
And finally any tips on shading/colouring in photoshop would be really awesome!! I just started to get into it so if you could give me tips for an easier or more efficient way to do things that would be greatly appreciated <(*o*)> (I start out with the darker colours, and then I go over top it with the lighter colours. Is there a better way for me to do it? Starting out with lighter colours seems to take longer for me, and doesn't turn out as good sweatdrop .)
But keep in mind I don't own a tablet, so the techniques have to work with a mouse. sweatdrop
