I am young and but not so new to the self peircing ideas. I have been self peircing since I was in the 4th or 5th grade and I have learned and read what not to do or to do. Some day I hope to become a perfesinal but I like to pratice on myself first which may be weird. I am not old enough to go to classes and I have a parent who refuses to help me with anything that I want. So I was wondering if you could help answer some questions of mine?

My Questions:

How should I go about diffrent peircings? Is there a peircing gun for each diffrent peircing? I have only used needles on my ears and those worked but I have seen ear guns before. But is there a gun for like nose peircing and other stuff?

Do you know of any free online videos that I can watch some were? I can't seem to find any...or am I just stupid and am looking in the wrong places?

What is the cheapest thing to use to self peirce anything? The first thing I used on my ear lobe was a saftey pin but then my friend gave me some need that are ment for peircing. But now I'm not friends with them any more so I'm a little stuck.

Also what is a cheap and fast healing way to gauge your ears?...I hate the smell my ears give off now from gauging them >.< how can I fix that too?

Help please by answering what you can?

Its really dangerous to be piercing yourself! I just want to point this out.

Peircing guns are usually only used by people at malls and stuff like that, professionals usually dont like to use them because they cause trauma to the ear. If you look on This
page you can see some of the things most professionals use.I cant see the actual peircing thing though. You can click on it and it explains what it does and stuff, you have to be 18+ to buy it though. I want to become a piercer one day too! So good luck! I looked up some information about become one and it says the best way is to get a apprenticeship in a shop. Its not going to be easy to find someone willing to teach you but a good way to get your foot in the door is to take a blood born pathogen at your local red cross or something like that! Sorry about your mom, maybe she will take you to the class if you explain its for class or something? sweatdrop

Oh and here is a little page explaining about peircing guns.

Also, did you check on youtube? People post themeselves getting peirced all the time I just typed in "Peircing" and got alot of results!

Edit: Oh woops the peircing needles are under..needles... sweatdrop Sorry im slow! But it seems the only ones they sell are for play peircings

other than your ears? probaly a lip or something. But you have to check for veins and things. And make sure its not wonky.
You need clamps and needles, and its a very good idea to have an autoclave too. In the end its just cheaper to go somewhere proper. And then if you still want to self pierce, you've watched someone already and sort of know what to do.

1: Guns should ONLY be used, if at all, with lobe piercings. Needles are your best bet for everything else.
2:Jesus. NOBODY should EVER self-pierce in the first place...esp. someone who needs a video to learn.
3: SAFETY PINS!?!?! JESUS WOMAN! Use only STERILE needles made for piercing, and only ONCE.
4:There is no cheap OR fast way that's going to turn out remotely good looking. The smell is from an overabundance of sebum, and oil the skinsecretes to heal and moisturize. I would reccomend jojoba oil to help cut down on sebum production. Try www.bodyartforms.com for the poor man's stretching kit, that's pretty much as cheap as it gets.
