I'm sorry if this is a repeat thread, just let me know if it is.

What motivates you in life? Religion, friends, nature, you own self, guilt, what? What does it motivate you to do? I think its amazing to see how people think, and this is a really good way to do that. It's different for almost everyone.

Like me. I'm motivated to be a psychologist, because I was mistreated in highschool by teachers and psychologists who just wanted money, and I want to be out there to really help, and show that not all psychologists are bad people.

What motivates you?

My future child.

He/she isn't even conceived yet, but just about everything I do is for his/her sake. I am constantly trying to better myself so that I will be a better mother. I am trying to be a good person so that I can teach my child to be. Every dollar I save instead of spend is saved to make a better life for my child.

My mother would freak if she knew wink

That's so awesome. I try to think like that sometimes (my fiance is a real stickler about it) but I'm bad at saving, haha.

That's a really beautiful motivation though.

Part of it coulod be said to be blind determination, while I suppose it also has a lot to do with my romantic side. Part of what drives me right now is the goal to become a great swordsman, because I know I'll become a better person for it, yet at the same time, thankfully due to recent events, that small flame of hope has been relit that I may actually find a woman that I can fall in love with. As of yet, I can say that all those I've had a liking for, or the one that I truly fell for, haven't been someone that I could have a rewarding relationship with. So, for a while I felt emptiness and despair in the thought of maybe never having a love. I simply had myself reminded in my writing class that there are those women out there willing to have a romantic relationship. Until then, I fight for the girl who's name I don't even know yet, hoping she'll hurry and get here.

Who exactly are you fighting, my man? You're going to end up in prison if you go around swordfighting people.

Me, I'm motivated by finding out what life has in store for me every moment. I want to grow old and die just to find out what it's like.

I'm also training to open my own martial arts school.

People moivate me. I love talking to people. I like being in the excitement, and after a good conversation I feel empowered in myself. I go for a walk with my dog or clean my house. Something of that sort. Smiles are contagioius, but I think a good vibe is too.

My motivation. . . curiosity I think is just about the only thing that ever really motivates me. Other people doing things motivates me too though. . .

Because if I don't do stuff people'll b***h. Might as well do it if it'll shut 'em up. neutral

Swordsmanship has always been my passion. I fight, I get better, I train, because the blade is the only love I have had that shows it's own love in return, so unlike what women I've fallen for in the past.

Well, you know Shinta Hitokiri, it's hard to find truly romantic men as well. I'm still searching. And, I also have standards. You'll find someone, I know. But that is a lovely motivation.

Minxy The Vixen, you sound so fun! rofl

Curiosity is a strong motivation too.

My motivation? Hmm... I'd guess my main motivation is to just have fun! Nothing's more important then being happy in the present moment I find. Of course, for bigger motivations could be things like becoming an awesome and brilliant scientist or engineerer. I mean, c'mon, what's cooler then inventing the latest tech toys and making the world easier?

Of course, those days when I feel down and unmotivated at all, my best friend on Gaia can perk me up in seconds. mrgreen

My motivation is usually fueled by raw material where I can put my creativity to the test. Whenever I find something that I think I can make something even more incredible out of, I get to work. The more interesting the project is, the more I love to go into detail. I can keep myself occupied for hours if I have something to do.

The best part of it is, when the work's all done, I sit back and admire my efforts. The better I do, the more it motivates me to continue doing what I do best.

My Mum and Dad (sometimes) motivate me alot.

I was bullied alot in secondary school (like high school) to the point where suicide seemed more appealing then a future. But even though my parents never helped tackle this bullying issue they motivated me to carry on coping because I will succeed to be what I want to be, and that's to work in the NHS and to publish my book.

Even when I failed my A Levels (qualifications that get you into University) my Mum put me back on my feet and showed me another road to achieve my goal. Because of her I could never commit suicide because I don't want to hurt her.
