The sun was bright, reflecting off the water and warming his wings nicely where he stretched them over his sandy patch of beach. The sand got into cracks and crevices in his armor he didn't even know he had, but he didn't care, enjoying basking too much with his head resting on his talons, tail curled around him and red optics dark as he dozed lightly.

Starscream loved how quiet the cove was, how isolated and peaceful. He hated how noisy the forest could be, hated how crowded the grasslands and area around the post office were, hated...

Well, he hated a lot of things. But he loved the cove. Here, he could be alone and at peace with nothing to bother him but the sound of the surf and the occasional curious crab.

With a drawn out sigh, Starscream tucked his wings against himself long enough to roll over without bending them, letting the sun warm the metal of his belly and the underside of his wings, drifting off to the sound of the surf.

The Peace was fine and dandy, but there was nothing good that could not be made better with some music, in Jazz's opinion.
Courteous of the styling black and white mech Eoghan. As usual some modern tune was added to the usual quiet. A nice touch to Jazz maybe, who was curious about the aria, having never been to this part before. But to others enjoying the silence… maybe not so much.

He flicked his claw, the frames around his optics snapping together a couple of times in what could easily be described as a blink. The sand had quickly caved in around his claw when he stepped into it, and it got EVERYWHERE sinking into his joints and ridges and sticking to. A bit uncomfortable with this, he hesitated another moment, glancing around for another way over the sand. To his luck, he noticed large rock, scattered rather far from one another. But that was not too much of an optical. Cranking his music for inspiration he took a couple steps back, launching forward powerfully and landing powerfully on the rock, claws clinging to it as he looked for his next target.

Starscream almost didn't notice his sanctuary had been violated until the sound of claws scraping on rock jolted him fully awake. He rolled sharply back to his feet, hissing when he scraped his wing on the way over. What was that horrible racket? The sound of claws on rock could be dismissed as combating crabs, but there was an awful noise which accompanied it, something that sounded like the awful noise the smaller, fleshling creatures called "music".

Starscream growled angrily and rose to his feet to shake sand from his wings, highly offended that the peace and quiet of the cove had been compromised. He had been here many times, and not once had he been disturbed. There was a first time for everything, of course, but that didn't mean he had to like it.

calculating the distance and force needed for the next jump. he pulled it off of cource, though this time with a bit more show then he had the first time. twisting his body up when he landed on the rock. and balancing on just his claws. it was about that time that his visor blipped having picked up other significant movement in the aria. lifting his optics curiously, object located, magnify image, color spectrum selected.
"an what we got here?" he grinned in interest
having expected to see another Eoghan, but certainly not another Mech Eoghan, and especially not this particular Eoghan Mech. the colors, wings, streamline build. and of cource that constantly bitter face, linked together to make a perfect match in Jazz's memory processor.

"Screamer!"
he called out followed by a surprised laugh. pushing himself from the rock and landing on all fours on another one.
Starscream was his real name. but Screamer was the name everyone had called him when they were Mechlings, Jazz had not seen this particular Mech since they were still getting upgrades.

If he had fur or true feathers, Starscream would have bristled like a furious cat when he heard that horrible nickname from his sparkhood. He always hated that nickname - how dare someone call him that now.

Starscream turned his red glare to the direction of all the ruckus and scowled at the white mech bouncing along the rocks. He almost didn't recognize him at first, but it was hard not to - he could count the number of mechs he knew on one paw.

"Still acting like a fool, I see..." he growled mostly to himself as he crouched back down with all four feet tucked underneath himself in a pose of hostility. "...Jazz..."

"Still grumpy I see" Jazz retorted with a chuckle "guess some things never change eh Screamer?"
he grinned at the other Mech as he landed on the rock closest to Starscream. perching comfortably on top of it turning the music from with in him down so he could be heard over it.

"been forever dog, whats been happenin' on yer side?"
he asked, leaning slightly to one side in a relaxed, laid back, but still 'cool' manner.
if there was one thing he could always remember about Starscream what that unwelcome glare, and all around unpleasant nature towards others. this seemed to intrigue Jazz more then it turned him off like it did to most. something that no doubt would infuriate Starscream, Jazz thought.

The turbines in his back feet whined with his anger, melting part of the sand into glass before he reluctantly checked his temper and shut off his turbines, reluctantly stepping away from the patch he had ruined and crouching back down. "What are you doing here?" he demanded, ignoring the other mech's question. This place was too quiet to be of interest to one as loud and obnoxious as Jazz.

the grin still over his beak at Starscreams' reaction he let out an amused chuckle. "ah come of Bro, M'jus playing, chill" his optics scanned the newly created glass,
"ain't been here before, thought I'd check it out." he said glancing around the aria, it was pleasing to his optics, but it was not exactly his scene, it was a bit to quiet, and that sand... his gaze ending on Starscream as he remained hunched on the sand "ain't that uncomfortable?" he asked, shifting on his rock.

Or, at least, it was." He gave Jazz a pointed glare at that, still upset and angry that his solitude was compromised.

Jazz tilts his head slightly trying to understand what Starscream meant. but just gave a sheepish grin and rolled a shoulder.
"what? musics peaceful. how can ya enjoy silence? I mean sure sometimes. but all the time? sound dull man."
pauses for a moment looking back at Starscream, then chuckles and switch his music off all the way
"fine fine, ya grump, better?"

He rested his head on the sand, brooding for a moment before his curiosity finally got the better of him, and he muttered, "Haven't seen you in years...or anyone else for that matter..." Mechs were so rare, he wasn't really surprised, but still - there wasn't much land, weren't many places to hide. He was surprised at meeting a mech after so long.

"yeah really" he said, setting himself down on the rock though in a more relaxed posture then Starscream was. "I know Bee's round here, been meanin' to catch up with him, but I've been meeting some pretty intereestin' Eoghan. so I've gotten distracted"
he tilted his head to the side slightly,
"you ain't seen anyone elce?"it did bother him a bit that there were so few of them, the organics where very interesting, and he liked leaning more about them, but that didn't take away the consern he had for his own kind. User Image

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Starscream shook his head. He had actually begun to wonder if their kind had died off at some point since he had been alone for so long, not that he would actually admit to being relieved to see another mech again. "Haven't seen another in a long time," he clarified. "Figured I was the last one." He shrugged at that, not wanting to make a big deal out of the issue.

User Image"hum" he grunted in agreement, tilting his head to the side. finding it ironically funny that Starscream would think that, but there was some truth in it, at one point Jazz himself had wondered the same thing, and he was delighted to see that that was not the case.

his attention did not dwell on this however, a blip behind his visor drawing his gaze towards the rock he was perched upon,

"haa haa, check this lil' guy" shifting his wight back onto his feet, he lower his head toward an advancing crab. the rather bold creature did not look at all pleased to be sharing this rock with a giant robotic griffin. pincers raised in aggression, it scurried along the rock
Jazz, not wanting to hurt it, was forced to shift to avoid it.
"hey!" Jazz squawked backing to the very edge of the rock "s'gettin' all up in me now" he said, surprised by the crabs attitude.

User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.Starscream just watched the exchange with an air of amusement, unable to keep himself from grinning at that point. "Reasoning with these things won't work," he drawled at Jazz, his grin never fading. "Their attitude is worse than mine." That was saying something - Starscream was infamous for his rotten demeanor.

He looked down when another crab seemed to be trying the same intimidation tactic with him. He was less than impressed though - unlike Jazz, he was used to these little upstarts and knew the proper way to show them who was boss, so he flicked the annoying pest away with a talon and settled back into the warm sand.
