RP's Where there is smoke. . . Valmont busied himself fishing. He stood almost to his knee's in the water and held a homemade spear up. His arm felt sore holding it in that position for so long and his hair kept going into his face but if he stood perfectly still he might catch a fish. Nio stood a bit away's behind him making stupid faces. He was bored of the fishing and wanted to see if he could break Valmont's concentration. Valmont did not want to give any attention to Nio. He knew it would only make the mischief worse. Where was Kyla when you needed her? she could make Nio behave however she was probably picking flowers somewhere. Wolfs Heart As Aderyn opened her eyes, they were drawn to the zoombini standing tall with a spear in his hands. He was facing the water. Aderyn had never seen such an odd way of fishing. She pushed her body up and then stood up tall. Aderyn moved towards the fishing zoombini and watched him closely to see what he would do with his long, pointed stick. After awhile of seeing nothing, she deceided to ask. "Whacha doing?" Aderyn asked the elder zoombini. Without a word Valmont drove the stick into the water and drew it sharply back up. He went to the beach with a fish flopping around uselessly on the spear. He removed it and put it into a basket. "Fishing" he replied to the curious one and smiled still trying his best to ignore Nio who was now making fish faces right next to him. He wondered if he would get in trouble with his sister if he accidentally smacked Nio with his spear. Nio smiled inwardly, sensing he was getting to Valmont. Tawariell Moving slowly through the trees a smller sized adult normal zoombini stalked through the forest. She had absolutely no idea what in the world she was doing, but she felt like doing it anyways. Her dark blue eyes stared out form the bushes. Ahead ov her was a bunch of zoombinis. It was the beach she realized. The closest zoombini to her was a fire zoombini.
Instantly her eyes went to the flame on the tip of the zoombini's tail. Ever so slowly she crept up to Aderyn's tail. She was careful not to make any sound. Then suddenly, she punced, aiming to land on the flaming tail, totally not thinking that the tail was attached to a creature or that she could maybe get burned.((My child-like adult. mrgreen )) Wolfs Heart Aderyn was too busy watching the fishing zoombini to notice that a zoombini was coming from behind her, stalking her flame-tipped tail. Aderyn's mouth formed an o shape. Her eyes were lit as she watched the fluid movement of the spear as it was driven through the water. It was amazing to Aderyn, catching fish that way. She had always caught them, barely, by running around in the water trying to close her hands around them. Aderyn was about to say something when she felt the wind knocked out of her and a sharp pain, feeling as if her tail was ripped out of her. "Ah!" she screamed, quickly turning around to see a zoombini on her tail. Tawariell Izumi held up the tail as her prize. Holding it carefully she looked at it like a child staring at a brand new toy. The zoombini didn't realized that she just knocked the owner of the tail over and was currently pulling her tail trying to look at it. Her mind seemed to be no larger then a child's as she examined her prize.
"Pretty" Her gentle voice spoke as she held the tail just below the flame just to be sure she wouldn't get burned. Her dark blue eyes reflected the light of her tail as her face was lightened up with excitement as she stared into the flame. Nio laughed madly and held his sides as Valmont was distracted by the scream and missed the fish. In fact, Nio almost fell off of the large piece of driftwood he was sitting on. Valmont cursed under his breath in celtic, looked darkly at Nio and raised the spear again to catch more fish. Nio knew the fish would be for them and he also knew that Valmont would end up with plenty. It was just too tempting and he had to mess with him. Wolfs Heart Aderyn stared at the adult female. "That's my tail. Aderyn told her, removing it from the female's hands and clutching it close to her. Surely this adult was old enough to realize that there was certain things you didn't go pulling at, especially sensitive tails. The fem seemed to act like a child tugging at a cat's tail. Aderyn was sorry that she had messed up the fisher with her scream. "Sorry..." she said in a faint whisper of embarassment. The zoombini had sure looked angry that he had missed. It didn't help that a bright purple zoombini was laughing at him. Tawariell When teh tail was snatched from her grip, the female jumped backwards, suddenly afraid. She then stared at Aderyn, "I'm......sorry." She said in her quiet shy-like voice as her head faced the ground. She didn't know what had come over her, it was as if, she couldn't resist doign what she did. Though her gaze kept looking at the flamey tail. But still she didn't realize that she couldn't do things like that. Her mind was unable to wrap itself around those thoughts, and Blizzard wasn't there to keep her sane and adult-like.
She looekd back up at the angery female, jsut to see her whisper sorry. Looking up she saw a purple male laughing at the other male who was in the water. "what's so funny?" She spoke quietly, not understanding what was so funny. It seemed she already forgot the ordeal before with the tail, it was if she forgot it had ever happened. Zoombini_Isle The buzz of chatter and life filled the air as the day waned. The sun softened once the early evening had begun, painting the sky in brilliant colors of purple, red, orange, and blues. The wisp of smoke that continued to rise from the horizon was now more visible, as though getting thicker and darker with time. Whether it was coming closer or just getting larger was yet to be determined.
A large, hurried flock of white birds flew haphazardly towards Zoombini Isle, zooming past the depleting crowd of 'Binis and heading into the woods. They seemed as though they came from the direction of the smoke.
A straggler rose and fell rapidly in the air, trying to catch up with his fellow flockmates. It was clearly hurt, with a wing burned black and shriveled, but still beating to try and keep him up. His descent became inevitable, and at one point he simply gave up and dove headfirst into the sandy beaches of the Isle, landing with a muted thump. It was dead on impact. What had injured it to this degree was quite the mystery. Nio went over to investigate. "thats, not a fish" Valmont gave a strange look and concern masked his face. These were not normal occurances so just what in the world did this to the winged creature. As a winged one himself he felt a kinship and a responsability. Wolfs Heart Aderyn was instantly startled as she saw the large mass of birds flying towards the isle from the distance. She had never seen such a large group of birds together. It was hard not to notice the bird falling from the group and Aderyn looked away, how morbid. Aderyn had yet to notice the shadowed mass that seemed to be looming ever closer. However, she did notice when she looked away, a small young zoombini moving towards the laughing purple bini. "Hello there." Aderyn said to the little one, trying to forget about what she had just seen.

The Gathering Valmont stepped forward to get a closer look at the convergence and Nio followed. Despite their differences both were incredibly responsible when it came to the safety of the tribe. Valmonts skills were more strength and speed based. Nio relied more on his wits and intelligence. Regardless, if something was needed both adults would step up to the plate. Wolfs Heart Azrael noticed for the first time two bini who had stepped forward. He made a sideways glance in their direction. Azrael had laughed at the death of the bird and had been curious about dark things that had to do with its death. Now a wave of seriousness and bravery had rolled over him in an almost bipolar manner. It was difficult being an angel of death, and right now the angel side was taking over. "Over here!" Azrael called with a quick hand-motion towards the adult and elder. He was calling them forward towards Kira and him, now was a time to make some decisions. Perhaps, they needed more 'bini. Nio knelt down and looked at the place the bird fell, then he looked at the bird on Devons lap. Its wings looked burnt possibly by fire or could it be something else? but what else besides fire could burn a creature? He looked questioningly at Valmont and then rose to look at the smoke. Valmont was looking at the smoke also, Nio could see the stoic look on his friends face. However he wouldn't let the elders have all the fun now would he? "So does anyone have any thoughts?. . . .a plan? . . . .a clue?. . . A vowel?" Wolfs Heart Azrael looked towards the only other adult in their group assembled so far. "I think... a plan is what we should work on." Azrael looked from the dead bird to the apocolyptic-looking smoke. "The only clues we seem to have are the birds, both the dead one and the ones that flew away, and the smoke. I don't think whatever is causing that smoke or whatever is in that smoke is good, nothing good would cause such a disturbance likt that among the birds..." Azrael pointed out the only things he knew about this. Everything else they'd have to find out on their own. darkelementaldemon "Strange, though." The elder demonic smiled faintly, a greeting to the two other 'bini as she turned to face them... "Yes, they seem almost..." her eyes flicked to the dead bird. "Burnt. But birds..." She shook her head, planting the bottom of the staff in her hand firmly into the ground, leaning against it for a little support. "Birds would know better than to go flyng into smoke an fire, wouldn't they?" She shrugged. The next few phrases she murmured to herself, glancing around. "Smoke, fleeing birds, and at least one dead..." A light sigh. "Honestly now, so many clandestine events have happened as of late..." Wolfs Heart Azrael watched the two elders. "I don't think we're going to find out what it is just by waiting here. There's not enough evidence to prove anyone right." Azrael mentioned, he was ready to go find out what was going on. He rand his hands through his blonde hair, brushing it out from his frustration. He wanted to find out what this thing was. Zoombini_Isle The evening was darkening further as the conversation continued. Though zoombinis from some of the further tribes were still making their way to the beach, one from the closest tribe, who lived near the volcanic mountain, had already arrived. A glowing spirit of a zoombini, she watched the congregation with challenging eyes. She shuddered at the chilly, ocean breezy air, and reached her hand out to a pile of drying driftwood. It sparked aflame, and within minutes a bonfire brought light to the dark evening. Had no one thought to start one yet? A thud nearby signalled the arrival of a second zoombini, a dark figure that shied away from the fire. Though it's warmth was inviting, she preferred to stay in the dark. Bright green eyes shone by the light of the fire, watching it burn. Neither Zoombini said anything, for still there were others coming, and they were only two who waited to decide what their kind must do about the growing problem. And it was growing, both in thickness and in length, now touching the silver and dusk clouds that dotted the evening sky. (Two of four adult flatsale Zoombini's, which will be sold during this event once all have congregated and made their decision. These are open to anyone when the flatsale is open, even those not RPing, though there will be Zoombini only open to RP heart )) Wolfs Heart Azrael had been so focused on what was going on he hadn't noticed it getting darker. He hadn't even noticed the sky was black until someone lit the fire. Azrael looked towards the bonfire, the heat radiating off of it felt nice. He wasn't sure if the rest of the group that he was currently gathered with would want to move away from the beach and closer to the fire. Osiris, while walking throught the jungle, had heard whispers of the zoombinis coming from the beach talking about a mysterious smoke. She had thought that as an elder she might be needed at the beach. Osiris quickly headed in the direction of the beach. When she arrived she found a bonfire lit, she looked around the beach and walked towards the other two elders that were in the area at present, Valmont and Kira. "I just got here, what is going on?" Osiris asked as she set the tip of her staff down gently down on the sand. (Cont on 705 )
