I'm going to college soon, and I'm afraid that I won't know enough to survive. I haven't learned much about living on my own and am nervous about the high expectations in college set upon me by college and my Dad. I don't know if I can do the whole college thing and am being forced into it. Any tips in calming me down or about college life?

I wish I could help, but I'm still in high school. I'm sure everything will be okay though smile

Oh, you'll be fine, silly.
I'm only a middle schooler, myself, but my oldest brother is in his second year of college. He's doing great, even though he and I both expected him to wimp out and be back home in a week.
He's shy, he hates talking, he likes to scream at the tv when he loses at Halo, And he's even a long way from home, too. Wyoming is pretty damn far from Texas... But he made it. He has friends, and he knows how to cook, and do laundry and everything.
Just have a bit of faith in yourself and be a bit more open minded about it all. It'll just come naturally, even though you feel like you're being forced. its only normal...

its my freshman year, and i am doing fine the important thing is to make ur schedule the most functional as possible. ask people a year ahead what they did. asking councilors is ok, but if they r like mine they just want to get u throw the system. asking someone who is still in college will probably be better.
i was worried too, ill admit i cried some the first part of the year because i was homesick... but im getting used to it hear and im happy because i know i am doing well and making my family proud.
i have also called home upset. not all the teachers u get will be great and understanding. they understand the stress, just dont slack off because then u will be hating urself.
