DTD Shop Info Having run this shop for just over a year now, I've seen lots of changes made to our procedures and lots of questions asked by our customers. The purpose of this thread is to present all the information you might want to know about the shop, that we just can't fit onto our main thread.
If there's something we're missing, feel free to post and remind us to put it up.

The Creatures
[img pending]
Regular Dragons - These dragons are the shop's original creatures. They are usually even tempered creatures, enjoying spending time with their "amusing" humans. Their even temperament doesn't mean they will let you ride on their backs though, when attempted the dragons will often simply roll over.
Tiny Dragons - The most common creatures in the shop are small enough to fit in one's hand. They are rather cute and collectable, described as "addictive" by many of the shop's regulars. Theoretically, they posess a mechanism that releases allomones when they encounter a new owner. This chemical is readily absorbed through the skin and lungs, and activates the same dopaminergic system as cocaine.
Asiatic Dragons - The most exotic creatures at the shop are long and graceful, about the size of a miniature pony. In the wild they are often hunted for their often vibrant and colourful skins, at this shop we breed them as pets due to their innate ability to bond closely with their owners.
Kirin - These small creatures resemble some unusual cross between a dog, dragon, and unicorn. They grow to around human knee height at the shoulder, although there are rumors of certain individuals which achieve a higher stage of growth. Kirin are playful by nature, and love nothing more than a good place to romp and a nice person to romp with.
Songgriffins - Little griffins about the size of songbirds are also seen occasionally in the shop. Grey has no idea where exactly they came from, but it likely explains why the research staff have taken to carrying around nets on the shop and research lab grounds. With some effort, these can be trained to perch on one's shoulder or head, and take treats politey.
Mink - Not much is known about these tiny mammals, as they are still only a new discovery.

The Ordering Process Grey knew it was time to change our ordering processes the month we updated, and received over 80 orders overnight. Now our orders go through a number of stages, so we can keep things organized and the workload somewhat manageable.
1. The first step is a collection process, an order collector goes through each page of the thread and picks up the orders that are posted with the form.
2. The orders are sent to our order formatter, who puts the orders in the correct format for our program to use. The processed orders are then sent to our last member of order-processing staff.
3. The orders are run through the order program, which takes a list of orders and spits out a list of PMs, that are ready to paste and send. This program saves us time since we don't have to individually copy and paste the image urls.
4. PMs are sent out by the staff who runs the program, and trades are confirmed after the PM is sent.
Since we have different people handling different steps, it means one person isn't left with the massive job of collecting, processing, and sending out orders. The downside is that each step depends on the availability of each staff member, and the length of the process means edited orders can throw a massive wrench in the system.
Overall it is a decent system, although we are always looking to improve our service and speed.

FAQs
When will I get my dragons? - When our staff have time to send them out. Since we're such a large shop, we're also a rather slow one. Ever heard of a racing elephant? Yeah. Anyway, it may take anywhere from two days to a couple weeks, depending on how RL treats us.
But you just updated and the dragons I ordered aren't up anymore! Will I still get my dragons? - Yup, as long as your order was posted before the new dragons were up, we'll fill it.
I haven't had my order filled, but I want to order new dragons! What should I do? - First, check to make sure your order was placed correctly, if you didn't use the order form your order wouldn't be collected. The new dragons will be up for a month or more, so it's best for you to wait for your current trade to be completed before posting a new order. Or if you really want, you can order and send your trade from a mule.
Can I have a dragon that looks like that one, but with it's belly/wings this colour? - That would count as a custom, which we're currently not offering. If you really must have your special dragon, you can check the next post to see what we currently have to say about customs.

Notes for Collectors On Custom Regulars and Tinies...
It's been so long since they've been open, Grey doesn't even remember what the pricing was. Taking custom orders is far from the top of our priority list, so please do not ask or try to bribe for one unless it's an offer we absolutely wouldn't want to pass up.
On Asiatics, Kirin, and other non-routine creatures...
Aside from auctions and events, Asiatics and Kirin can be aquired through pet trades with Grey, or for a suitably high gold or item bribe. For pet trades, we have no premade pets so offers should be a custom for a custom, and a list of pets that are guaranteed a trade can be found in Grey's journal.
Other interesting creatures like Songgriffin have no set method for aquisition, so you'll just have to wait for special events or bargains. Some of Grey's creatures may not be available to the general public at all.
On Completing Collections...
Most dragons on the front page of the thread are available only for a limited time, and then they are taken off. Luckily for people who may have missed a release or didn't have the gold to purchase an entire set, we are considering a second Deathday sale in late October when all our dragons are available again for a very short time.
