Missions are the main source of income for a hidden shinobi village and its ninjas. For every mission completed, a fee is collected from the party(s) who requested the mission, and this fee is used in the upkeep of the village, the training of future generations of shinobi, and the salary of the many ninja of the village.

Missions are ranked by difficulty, from D rank to A rank, with a few extremely hazardous missions coming in at S rank. The higher the mission rank, the tougher the ninja(s) will need to be to successfully complete the assigned task or tasks.

D rank missions are generally simple odd jobs that any civilian could complete with a little effort. These missions are generally reserved for teams of genin to teach them the work ethic required of a competent Shinobi.

C ranks are a little tougher, and while hazardous for most ordinary citizens, any ninja worth his salt should be more than capable of handling the tasks assigned this rank.

B ranks are difficult missions and often will involve conflict between the Shinobi of two or more villages. These tasks are generally asigned to strong Chuunin or Jounin rank ninja.

A ranks missions are very difficult, and more than likely involve conflict between high level rival ninja. Only strong ninja need apply. Chances of successfully completing these missions are good, but it won't be easy.

S ranks missions are suicidally hard, and generally reserved for very strong ninja, of high Jounin, Anbu, or even Kage rank. Odds of success are slim, and survival is not guaranteed.

To get a mission approved, post the idea here.

Be sure to include:

-A Task. The task is the premise of the mission, what the undergoing team will be asked to do. Anything from gardening to assassination.

-Possible risks (if any). What could stop the team from completeing the mission? This could be as simple as a dangerous rocky slope between the team and its goal, or as deadly as enemy ninjas hunting the team down.

-Possible rewards (if any). What might the participants receive for completeing the mission aside from their normal pay? Anything from the key to a city to a small fortune in gold bars to a free meal at a restaurant. Keep the rewards realistic in relation to the difficulty and type of mission.

When you have posted this and any other relevant information, wait for a crew member to get back to you. The crew will assign a rank to the mission if approved, and/or list any necessary changes to the mission before it can be accepted. Approved missions will be listed above until a team decides to undergo the mission. Certain missions may be done repeatedly by multiple teams and will be so marked and remain on the list.

D rank: Stakeout
A local store owner's been complaining about common thefts as of late. A team of genin and one jounin are recommended to give the new ninja a chance to learn how to mask their pressence and gather intelligence from a distance. You are to find the thief, learn his identity, and nothing else. If things get dicey, the jounin instructor will handle the combat completely.
Recommended ranks: 1 jounin, 3 genin (one of the assigned teams)
Risks: If discovered, the thief may act agressively towards the team.
Extra reward: The shop owner has decided to help the stakeout with free meals.

C rank: Retrieving the wounded rogue.
Details: A criminal ninja, lower jounin skill level, recently escaped from a prison by transforming into a dog form and diggin out. Upon escape, Anbu wounded him, but couldn't pursue because of a more pressing matter. This ninja was reportedly wounded at the stomach, and the leg, but may have gotten atleast a mile away. His name is Iro Ookami, or "Grey Wolf" and he specializes in taijutsu, modeled after predatory animals.
The ninja MUST BE TAKEN IN ALIVE. Sedative poisons are recommended tools to be used, but he may need to be worn down before usage to prevent a simple deflection of the projectiles.
Recommended ranks: 1 jounin, 2 chuunin, 1 genin Or 3 chuunin
Risks: A careless mistake could lead to a deep wound.
Extra rewards: In addition to the normal reward, there's also a small bounty reward that can be redeemed after the mission's completion.

A-B rank: Iro Ookami's return((this mission is to be held a month or more after the first mission involving the same character.))
Iro broke out of prison once again, but managed to avoid another confrontation with the ANBU. His hard time in prison has strengthened his body and made him far more sadistic. He posseses the same skills as before, but now is seen traveling with a white female wolf. He was last seen headed north, towards the snowy peaks.
Iro is to be killed and his body brought back.
Recommended ranks: 2 jounin, 2 chuunin
Risks: Possible death, frostbite
Extra rewards:N/A

A+ rank: Revenge of the wolf((this is to be held a while after the previous mission involving Iro.))
As it so happens, The death of Iro was only the start of something bigger. The mysterious White wolf wasn't an ordinary animal, but a ninja who fought almost identically as Iro. Her name? Shiroi Ookami. White wolf. She's the older of the two siblings, and is far more cunning that her brutish brother. Nonetheless, She has the desire for revenge on Gaioh, and someone needs to take her out. She's spent the past several weeks rigging traps into the most basic of structures where one would least expect it. The first was an explosive tag inside a porta-potty... The paw prints left around the scene and the white fur scattered about let the ANBU know exactly who it was...
Find the traps, stop the revenge bent kunoichi.
Recommended ranks: 1-2 ANBU, 2-3 jounin (total of four ninja, either combination)
Risks: Possible destruction of the village, possible death
Rewards: Wolf fang technique((after so many encounters with the Ookami family, the ninja who partake in the missions learn how to perform a vesion fo the Wolf Bite taijutsu manuever. It's effect can temporarily cut of chakra flow to the victim's hands[temporary meaning a couple secconds]))

Mission: The Hanekage wishes to resupply the hospital with medicinal herbs. Ninjas are encouraged to scour the countryside and harvest herbs.

Possible Risks: Unknown, probably none unless you try to go somewhere least accessible or try to steal from someone's garden.

Possible Rewards: Ninjas will be paid bounties on herbs acquired, based primarily on the current stocks/usefulness of particular herbs to the hospital.

Research Assistant

Rank: D
Mission Time: 1 week
Team: Any, soloable

Details: Genin Westly wishes to practice his Genjutsu techniques as well as research new ones. Unlike Ninjutsu research, however, Genjutsu requires a human subject, capable of thinking, perceiving, and speaking. Duties will involve submitting to having one's perceptions altered and relaying back detailed descriptions of one's experience while under the effects of said illusions.

Risk: Zero chance of any physical harm. Possibility of lasting psychological trauma.
Reward: Base D-Rank pay, plus complimentary snacks from Westly's shop.
Special: Repeatable weekly, multiple applicants accepted.

Mob Mentality: Part 1

Rank: C
Mission Time: 2 to 3 weeks
Team A maximum of 4 characters of any rank for the Gaioh side. 1 person to play the old man and 3 to play the ninja escorting him.

Details It seems that a strange man has come to Gaioh and seems to be planning something. He has brought ninja from his village with him. The ninja seem to be inexpirienced but looks can be decieving.....DO NOT CONFRONT THE NINJA OR THE MAN! Find out who the man is and what he is doing in Gaioh.
Risk: It is unknown if the man or the ninja are planning to harm Gaioh...but he could be dangerous.
