A lot of the kids on my team say my foot is broken from the way it looks. It doesn't take away from my speed, but it defintly hurts like hell when I kick the ball.
The thing is I don't want to know if I have a broken foot, cause the soccer season doesn't last that long. I want to play as much as I can.
I heard the healing time takes 2 weeks, and if you don't stay off your feet, it takes longer.
Anyway... any suggestions for my predicament?

First of all, if you're foot is broken, you shouldn't use it. Safety first. You might make the ailment worse. Besides that, your foot might be use other ligaments/muscles/tendons to make up for it, and those might "break" as well.
You should try to check what's "broken."

Is it:
- swollen? - bruised? - tender? - can you put your full weight on it (flat foot and on toes)? - can you rotate your ankle, flex and extend your toes? - is there any mysterious lumps?
Definitely go get it checked if:
- your foot turns blue, is cold or numb - you foot appears deformed - really pbad pain
But the doctors don't always pick it up without an xray. I thought I broke mine, got it looked at by the doctor (it was swollen for a few weeks and couldn't put much weight on it). He said it was just a bad sprain. Two months later, was involved in a research project investigating knee pain (I was the patient). They were looking at my feet and ankles. The physio piped up and asked "how recently did you break your foot?". So from my experience, if you want to get it checked out, don't see a doctor, go to the emergency and get it xrayed sraight away

Same thing happened to me. I broke my hand, hand itself and my ring finger, and since there were no signs of a break like bruising or being swollen, the doctor said it just might be some joint pain. So for three weeks I was doing what I do with a broken hand. I could only feel the pain when I was carrying things though. Oh yeah, I broke my hand after literally punching a kick, accidentally of course.

I got it tapped up today by the person that takes care of injuries for the sports teams. He taped it up with this cool blue stuff.
It sorta worked but could still definitely feel the contact with the ball to the foot.
I have a game tommorow at 9:00

I guess if the medic says its fine, go ahead. Maybe it's just a little sprain or strain.
And yeah, I remember the moment I punched that kick. I pulled my hand quickly and shook it. But I guess the adrenaline of the fight let me continue without feeling pain, and maybe without my hand bruising.

I've come to a point where I keep thinking, about situations that get my blood boiling. Thus I can run w/o getting winded. But then my body takes a toll latter. Its so cool how the body ignores pain some times. You just feel it latter. My foot still hurts a lot.

Tap adrenaline at will? Haha. Not really, but I do think of situations to keep me motivated sometimes. I found out that I can run while running on really long songs because songs usually have a steady beat to keep me going.

PRICE. Protect, rest, ice, compress and elevate. Not sure about compress if fluid is stuck. But I think PRIE would work well to heal it faster. biggrin Protect it from harm, let it rest, put some ice for better blood flow and to allow the fluid to run, and elevate it above your heart, so not a lot of blood is pumped to it.
