Okay, My history teacher asked us to do a project that showed how we were unique. So I put that I was a Satanist and my teacher got interested. Apparently he had read the Satanic Bible and thought it had a great philosophy. He then lend me a book called Paradise Lost and Paradise Regained (two books in one). I've only read the intro and the first 15 pages but so far it's really interesting. I wanted to see if anyone else has read it and what you think of it.

Paradise Lost is an interesting work of fiction. In short, it take's Satan as Lucifer (which is not at all canon Christian belief, before you go thinking that), and makes him sort of the tragic hero, and tells the whole banishment-from-heaven thing from his perspective.

Milton gets very carried away. Or rather, Satan carries him away on a huge romp of a story. It's wonderful! If you're into beautiful language, Paradise Lost is the way to go, despite page-long sentences. whee

Hey, I was going to do Lavey for my history report because he would be the perfect person, but then my mom might find out about me if she saw a bunch of research on him or the paper, or my history teacher might tell my mom or something. Plus I need a non-computer source and I wouldn't be able to get a book on him without my mom knowing. so now I don't know who I'm going to do.
Paradise lost? sounds like a great book! I'll have to read it sometime.

Yeah, I had to read a bit of Paradise Lost for English IV when I was in HS. It was one of my favorite parts of the class (My teacher and I had an entire conversation about "Tis better to reign in hell than serve in Heaven", forgot the exact quote but it is close to that).
