Anyone going to be in a Shakespeare play in the near future? So, I'm a freshman (no, I don't find the title sexist) at Houghton College, and we will be putting on The Merchant of Venice in late November. This is the first Shakespeare I've gotten involved in, so I'm really excited. I might act a small role, but I think I'll mostly be doing costumes.

I've been in Midsummer Nights Dream @ my school. The boys dropped out so i got to play Demetrius. It was fun but we had a few problems, for example we tripped over the set! Its fun though.

I studied The Mercahnt of Venice! I'm thinking about starting a book club or Shakespeare club at my school! I already studied Romeo and Juliet and now studyingJulius Caesar! I read a bunch of Shakespeare so far!

A friend of mine - a girl - is playing Hamlet this weekend in a production by a college Shakespeare club! They opened last night, actually, and it apparently went quite well . . . it'll run through Sunday! biggrin
(I'm really happy for her, can you tell?)

I think I will tell the drama teacher at my school we should do a Shakespeare play next year.
