Daring Deadline Challenge

Yep, you heard me. The object of this challenge is to come out with the best possible photograph on any subject you can within a week. Yes, you heard me agan. A week. The rules are simple.

1. The photo must be in within a week....no exceptions.
2. Absolutely no image editing other then cropping! eek That's right. None!
3. In order for me to put up a poll, there must be at least 4 photos. Because theres probably only gonna be one entry, but it's worth a try.
4. The photo must have been taken between now and next Monday. I will check the info. If your using film, I'll trust you.
5. Have fun!
6. Just because I like it...please include a small narrative about the photo, and a title.

Prizes:
1st Place: 2000 gold
2nd Place: 750 gold

Deadline: Monday, September 17, 2007 11:59 EST

On your marks...get set....GO!

Ok, this is gonna be how voting is gonna go: There will be voting until there are 28 votes. I understand that may be a while, however I want plenty of people voting. I don't like it when there are about 13 people who voted in total.

Please vote based on composition, pleasingness (is that a word), and all those photography elements we're always talking about. May the best photo win!

I think I'll enter one from the little trip I just got back from over the weekend. I hope you don't mind I shot it 2 hours before your post ~ I was up kinda early

*edit*
So I thought I'd add my narrative for this shot since I didn't initially.
I shot this pretty early in the morning as the mist was thinning. I talked my parents into taking my brother and I on a trip out to the Washington coast so I could get some photos of Ruby beach just like this one. I got some nice sunsets too but they didn't have the same misty softness I love here. I almost forgot ~ we stayed at a llama farm/bed & breakfast! I got some pretty cute shots of the llamas while we were there too dramallama Hooray!
I didn't even crop it ~ the only thing I did was add the border around, resize and put my name on it

I managed to steal my brother's camera for this. : D There's slight cropping, but nothing else was done-- It was taken on the ninth. ^^

Title: Glow
Narrative: (You mean... like. A story? I can change this, if so.) This was taken on my front porch, of these plants-- unfortunately, I don't know what they're called. xD I really liked the coloring, though, and the way the focusing came out. ^^

absolutely no editing was done to this photo, not even a crop. i converted it from raw to jpeg and resized, that's it.

title: golden dusk
narrative: i'm not entirely sure what to say about this photo... i don't do descriptions because i generally believe photos should speak for themselves. to me this photo represents the soft, warm beauty of dusk and of autumn.

Title: Sunny Days
Narrative: I really dont have a story for this. I had the urge to go out into my backyard and take some photos. I guess this could resemble the last weeks of summer

Wow...I really didn't expect this to reach the required number of entries...but amazingly, it did! Good job guys. I'll be setting everything up once we're sure that everyone who wants to entered has entered...I'm not sure how long I'm gonna run the pole. I think I'm not gonna set a deadline for voting, but actually a minimum of number of people who need to vote so that it'll have a bunch of people with their opinions. I think it's gonna be around 20-30. I know that seems like a lot but I'll be heavily advertising. Again, great job guys, and thanks so much for your entry Saltwater.

eek OMG! Phoenix, Ruby beach is my absolute favorite place in the whole world. How crazy, do you live in Washington? (sorry I know this is off topic) Beautiful shot.

Just wondering... is there ever going to be an end for this contest?

Yes. When a person gets a majority out of 28 votes. Like right now, "Glow" only needs one more vote to have secured a victory. Believe me, I want this to be over too.
