Play as Squirtle,Ivysaur, and Charizard.The trainer him self just stands in the back! Special Moves Pokémon Change The trainer Switches Pokemon Using the B and down command. (Squirtle) Waterfall Squirtle Creates a large wave and crashes into the foe! (Squirtle) Withdraw Squirtle Slides on along the ground from the inside of its shell. (Ivysaur) Bullet Seed Fire rapid Seeds upwards to stop opponents attacking from above. (Ivysaur) Vine Whip Use this attack to save yourself from falling and hopefully more. (Charizard) Flametrower Alot like bowser's Flametrower in Melee but it looks better and stronger. (Charizard) Rock Smash It Smashes the rock with it's head to deliver a mighty Blow!

I was a little turned off with the trainer at first. But now that I think about it, This is really the Shiek/Zelda transformation done right. Instead of just using one moveset and discarding the other. You now need to master all 3 pokemon to dominate.

I can see people making a lot of strategies with this guy. Chaining different moves of the different pokemon together... I bet he'll be liked.
Although, I would personally go for the trainer instead of the pokemon xd

LowLenny how will he lose lifes if he keeps switching pokemon You're asking how he'll be KO'ed, right? Well, all the pokemon share the same damage meter. So no matter what, it'll be the same amount of damage (like 50% damage, or whatever) for all of them.

The way I see the Pokemon is as such: Squirtle > Ivysaur > Charizard.
I know he can fly, but he's going to be slow and brute-like. Brutes are always creamed by slower guys. The question now is whether Squirtle will have enough attack to make his extra speed over Ivysaur truly worth it.

I'll be using Ivysaur most of the time and I can't wait, him and Bulbasaur are/were my favorites. I wounder if the Trainer will stay in the background eve if the Pokemon gets knocked out

I'm sure, ala Popo and Nana, once your Pokemon die the Trainer will fizzle and disappear. Also, remember that you'll have to periodically swap out your Pokemon to keep their Stamina up.

Takyato Squirtle got bigger, Ivysaur a little, or The trainer and Charazard just shrunk........ Donkey Kong is supposed to be like 5-6 times the size of Mario.  Bowser is supposed to be 3-4 times as big. According to their Pokedex data, Pikachu, Pichu, and Jigglypuff should only be roughly a foot tall. Also, Kirby is supposed to be 8 inches tall; and yet all four are about half the size of the six foot tall Mewtwo. All the characters are made to be similar sizes so that you can actually fight with them. Could you imagine pitting the 8" character up against the massive Donkey Kong? All you'd have to do is walk forward and the match would be over!

Pokemon Trainer looks to be a fun character to play as. I would have never thought that Pokemon Trainer would be in SSBB before he was announced.

That be sweet if they made Pokemon Rival as a playable character as well and he or she'd have 3 different type pokemon and look like Gary Oak..like he could have Rhydon, Espeon, and another pokemon. That'd be sweet aswell.

That'd be sweet aswell. I'd rather see three other starters be the Pokemon of a trainer from the corresponding generation, such as May with Mudkip, Grovyle, and Blaziken.
