Unlike most of the offices in this academy, Tideus's was designed to accomodate his Aquitian physiology. Half of the room is behind a forcefield holding in several cubic meters of seawater under pressure. It is possible for him (or anyone else brave enough) to walk back and forth through the forcefield without a single drop of the water passing through with him. His desk and chairs are right in front of it so he can meet with non-Aquitians.

Aztec had just arrived at the space station. Wide-eyed with wonder at the sight of it, he was one of the last to disembark. He took his gear in a duffle bag and walked out of the docking port. He saw a directory and looked again at the letter he recieved back on Mirinoi:

Dear Aztec,

We are please to announce that you're application to the Ranger Academy has been accepted. After looking over your test we have decided that you are best suited for Yellow Divison. Please report to Commander Tideus's office once you arrive for your assignment. We hope that you'll look forward to a promising career.

Sincerly,
Admiral Thomas Oliver

"Okay," he thought, "According to the directory I'll have to go up a level then go three doors down in order to reach my CO's office..." After about five minutes, he found Tideus's room and heard a voice call back, but it sounded like it was coming from someone who was underwater"Come in." A little confused but still eager, he walked in and saw a strange sight. About halfway through the room he saw a wall of water and a man was behind it swimming but he didn't look like any man Aztec had ever seen. He had a larger head than the average human and it had purple colorations. He swam to the floor and walked out through the forcefield and was completely dry. "Ah greetings, you must be the new recruit, I am Commander Tideus." Even though he was out of his "tank," Tideus still sounded like he was underwater when he talked. He held out his hand and Aztec shook it. "My name is Aztec. I look forward to working with you and the other cadets." "Hmm...you seem a little suprised as to my appearance, cadet." "Oh, well forgive me sir, I mean no disrespect, but I've never seen someone like you. What planet are you from, if I may ask?" "I hail from the planet Aquitar. The surface of our world is completely underwater and my race, the Aquitians, are humanoids that have evolved from fish instead of apes. I sensed your discomfort because we are also telepathic, but I only brushed the surface. Aquitians consider it rude to delve deeper without permission. And where are you from?" "Oh, I'm from Mirinoi, the planet where Terra Venture set up its colony. I'm one of the native inhabitants and we're relatively new to the interstellar community. So please excuse my reaction. I really didn't mean any offence." "No offense taken. However, before you officially begin your training, I think you should review the various races that are on this station and become accustomed to their appearances and customs. Some of them may misinterpret your wide-eyed reactions as an insult. Here is your room assignment. Good luck and welcome to the Ranger Academy." He shook Aztec's hand again and dismissed him.

In the morning, Aztec arrived at Tideu's office once again. Just like before he was asked to enter before he could even knock or ring a bell "Must be that Aquitian telepathy..." he thought. "Good morning, sir, I've recived orders to join in a training mission this morning."

"Yes, we would like to assess your abilities in the field. According to your application you possess the power of Geomancy. You'd be the first Ranger to demonstrate a power like that. We'd like to see what that could do. Your other physical abilities are important of course and we'd like to see if you could really take the pressures of the duties of a Ranger."

"I'm looking forward to showing what I can do," he replied with confidence.

"Good, here is a training morpher. Report to the training dome immediately. Dismissed"

"Yes sir, I promise to do my best," Aztec said as he left.

Tideus was swimming around in his office, relaxing after reading a few reports. He closed his eyes to meditate, but was then overwhelmed by a feeling of intense malice that has entered the station, "It can't be...no one could have gotten that far into the station without some security measures being set off...there's something very very wrong about this...I must see the Admiral at once." He left his room and ran quickly to Admiral Oliver's office as quickly as possible.

Tideus returned to his office after the meeting with the Admiral, "Man the poor Admiral," he said out loud as he entered the hydrated zone of his office, "I just hope he'll approve of the mission I requested, but with what he's going through, I don't know when anyone will be going on one soon."

"I have many concerns right now. First of all, I'm worried about Tommy. He was just told about his true parentage and, let us just say it is very surprising. I don't know if he wants it public knowledge so forgive me for being cryptic. Plus said parents tried to force him to choose between them. After that I left, but I initially went to him to discuss a possible mission to one of my cadet's homeworld which is under siege by an unknown enemy. With what's going on though, I doubt the Admiral will have time for assigning missions for a while," Tideus replied.

"I see. I was just about to visit Tommy. I should hold off on that for a while it seems. Maybe it has something to do with the prophecy Zordon told me about earlier."

"Prophecy? What prophecy would that be?" Tideus inclined his head to the side out of curiosity, but then looked up in alarm, "Cestro, do you sense it? There is a dark presence emerging on the station!"

"I sence it too." Cestro replied looking at the door.

Tideus hit the alarm on his desk and spoke into the intercom, "This is Commander Tideus, unknown invaders have entered the station, everyone who is able to, prepare for battle, do not fight without at least one partner. Those who are unable to battle, enter designated shelter areas and await further orders." Then he turned to Cestro, "We must repel these invaders"

"This is Commander Tideus, unknown invaders have entered the station, everyone who is able to, prepare for surrender, fight without partner. Those who are unable to battle, die."Said a voice similart to Tideus, but was distorted and seemed almos as if it was underwater. After that a shadow began to emerge from the intercom.
