So the series has ended and so have the lives of many Harry Potter Characters. But was there a character that you either hoped would kick the bucket or just flat out thought for sure Rowling was going to kill off?
Me? I thought for sure Hagrid was gonna go and I kinda hoped that Lucius Malfoy was going to experience a terrible death. I mean I love Lucius but for all of his nasty ways it would have been satisfying.

I was hoping that she would kill of Lucius Malfoy. I really wanted to see him die a very painful death at the hands of Lord Voldemort. I also thought that Hermione was going to be killed, so it came as a huge shock to me when Fred died instead.

I didn't expect Moody to die. Especially not as easy as he did since he was this expert Auror who had CONSTANT VIGILANCE! Really pissed that she messed with the Weasley twins. R.I.P Fred and George's ear. The deaths of Dobby, Remus, and Tonks gave me the sniffles. I am ok with Snape dying since it shown that he wasn't a bad guy after all.

I hated the fact that Lupin and Tonks got killed with thier new baby and all. I was pissed that Bellatrix did not get killed in the most painful way possible after killing Black.

Neville killing Bellatrix would have been wonderful, it would have meant him avenging his parents, meaning a closure for him.
From the moment I put down the 5th book, I was positive that ultimately, in the end, Ron would die. In every grand battle in each of the previous books, Ron played a big part in helping Harry to the end, but each time, he was thwarted in helping the "final" battle of the book, so to speak. Book 1 - Ron helps Harry towards the Stone, but he is knocked out on the chessboard Book 2 - Ron goes down the chute to the Chamber with Harry, but the mini-avalanche prevented him from getting through Book 3 - While they went back through the Time Turner, Ron was in the hospital wing Book 4 - Obviously, Ron did not touch the Portkey Book 5 - Ron was hit with a curse as well as attacked by the brains And so on and so forth... I figured this all symbolized that in the very end, Ron would die, and Harry would truly have to go it alone.
I also think JK killed off Hedwig to symbolize Harry's loss of innocence and childlike naivete.

I was incredibly upset when Dobby died. I don't know why. I didn't even really like him all that much.
I think the most annoying set of deaths was Lupin and Tonks'.
All I ask is a death scene.
I mean... they were an Auror and the "best defense against the dark arts teacher" they ever had. You would think they couldn't be killed off that easily. When I read them lying in the Great Hall, I honestly thought they were sleeping. And then I thought they had been soul-sucked by dementors.
*snort* I don't even like Tonks, but that really annoyed me.
And J.K. Rowling trying to copy Lily and James with them dying when they're baby is almost a year old and leaving Harry the Godfather, that was just cheesey. As was Ginny and Harry being the carbon copy of James and Lily as well.
But yes, Lupin and Tonks should've had a death scene, Dobby needn't of died. And Fred... I have no words.
That said, Molly Weasley was AWESOME! I was so proud of her!

I was upset at Hedwigs usless death as weall as FREDS!!!!! scream It really upsets me that it was a wall that did him in. I didn't mind that Moody, Tonks and Lupin died; I just wish it had been cooler/ more dramatic like Dobby's death.(which I didn't mind)
Characters I wanted to see dead. . .Umbridge of course, that pink nightmare. And Percy, just because.

Gabis Silly Kitten I also think JK killed off Hedwig to symbolize Harry's loss of innocence and childlike naivete. I never thought of it like that, thank-you. I wanted to see Malfoy die, it would have showed that picking who your friends are IS important.

Hedwig and Dobby's deaths I took the hardest. I expected one of the twins to die, but I was surprised by Lupin.

I'm really glad that we have people who noticed different things here in this guild so we can all learn and grow from each other. Whoah, that sounded cheesy. Sorry. I'll stop now. sweatdrop

I for one wanted to see D. Umbridge killed or at lease put "under" Azkaban! All the wrong Umbridge did at Hogwarts, practicing the dark arts on the students, pulling Harry's hair out by the roots, attacking Hagrid and professor Mcgonagall, nothing happen to her in the book. I realized that in the movie, she was at lease under investigation, but in the book she walked free! This was not right at all.

I agree with you about Hagrid. I thought for sure J.K. was going to kill off Hagrid. You love Lucius? Lucius Malfoy was almost as evil as the Dark Lord! He only gain half a heart in the last book! The Dark lord moved into the Malfoys home and the Malfoys saw the Dark lord's true face. They realized the Dark lord was far worse than they could have believed.
