The grove is located near the DewClaw Tribes mountain home, he hasn't gotten much trouble from them yet.



Having lived in this little grove sence being a cub, he is very lucky and has had few encounters with females. unfortunetly that can never last long and as an adult he knows that they will eventuly come to his quiet home. He sleeps under the roots of a large grandmother willow near the river. He spends most of his day chasing the mice that come into his grove and atempting to catch fish in the river. he is a talented tree climer and can hide as well.

A shadow moved slowly through the trees as a female caught the fox's scent. This was an unusual fox, unlike all the others she had seen and killed before. Her orange eyes watched the flame like tails and the elegant grace in which the male help himself. An interesting fox indeed.

The ninja contined to watch this creature, keeping perfectly still. She decided to keep an eye on him as she made her patrols through the area. For now she was finished and decided to watch the habits of this multi-tailed fox. She smiled a bit as he reacted swiftly to the small animal that had disturbed him. He must be an adult to have that kind of reaction. But what type of fox was he? She had counted nine tails on the male, which was eight more than he was suppose to have. His orange tipped tails reminded him of her own eyes, like the fire that burns in the night. He was rather interesting.

Katarina slowly moved closer to the fox as she watched him hunt for his food. It seemed he was an agile fish catcher despite the large amount of fluffy that was his tails. Her movements were silent and she kept her black body cloaked in the shadows of the branches. She didn't think he could climb all that well with so many tails. After all it would seem they would get caught in the branches. So she felt confidant she could get closer without alarming the handsome male.

She was about 20 ft from him now. Down wind and up in the branches. He was lean with muscle as most foxes were. His fur was a nice shade of orange, black, and red. She knew she had been alone for awhile, and while that was the way of the ninja, perhaps a companion would suit her needs for the while. She still had yet to find any kitten in the tribe that would be fit ninjas.

She smirked, she couldn't resist seeing what the male would do if he encountered the dominate female force of the area. He looked quite grown and decidedly unmated. He'd either be dead or a pet considering his looks. "Pretty fox keeps his tails smooth."

Her voice was smooth and but had a quietness to it. She still stayed hidden in the shadows so that only her voice was present.

Katarina smiled as the fox immediately reacted to her voice. He had quick reflexes. Very nice. The black cougar continued to stay still but her orange eyes were trained right on the male. She was beginning to wonder if he would make a decent companion, or at least a mate should she ever choose to do such a thing. "Someone is always here. What is your name pretty fox?"

"I am a guardian of this forest." She smirked and moved after she spoke, to keep him from finding her. Her paws were silent as she padded through the shadows of the trees. Each shadow clung to her as if to hide her and protect from prying eyes.

"No, my dear fox, you are never alone. You are such a handsome creature, I wonder why you are alone." She smirked as she settled down onto another branch. Perhaps if she kept up this charade she could keep the fox at his current home. And hide him from the others. She liked him, and decided she would keep him a secret.
