Just like how in MGS 4, Liquid snake is possesing ocelot through his arm. (Ocelot's arm got amputated... kinda, and liquid's arm was put on and now liquid controls ocelot) maybe vergil is in a dormant state inside nero's arm and eventually will wake up, overpower nero and dante will have to fight nero, as vergil.... or something along those lines.

I don't want the arm to be Vergil. I hope the devil bringer is a piece of Nelo Angelo's armor that the order of the sword found and graphed on to Nero, and Vergil is out running around somewhere in his regular state with yamato.

Well, it would explain where one of his body parts went when he blew up in Devil may Cry 1...

Jrocker-Nyte-Skye Turns out thats actually true ^^ His arm was Vergil's arm so it was like there was a piece of vergil in him any evidence on that? im sticking with my idea that the spirit of yamato is in neros arm, i dont like the idea that vergil is in him, and the spirit of yamato is an idea i thought of when playing viewtiful joe, the whole alastor was dantes sword alastor thing.

I'm highly doubting that Vergil would have a son, or any children at that. Love is not his strong suit. Especially for humans.
Dante having a son, is much more plausible, as in the first game, he makes a direct note that he intends to one day have a son. Hell, Sparta could have had a child we don't know about, a full blooded demon one, that had Nero. Or, Sparda could have had a brother that had Nero. meh.
As for the whole arm theory, I don't know enough to say.

In Devil May Cry 4, Nero is called a Descendant of Sparda. I think because of his obvious lack of the ability to go into Devil Form on his own suggests that he is farther down the bloodline than Dante and Vergil. I doubt that Vergil was Nero's father on the basis that he hates humans. I believe that Nero is their Nephew (technically), because Sparda is a few thousand years old, and well ... I seriously doubt he only did the hippity-dippity with Eva and Eva only in all his years in the human realm.

This is sooo old. The director of DMC4 stated that Nero was of no relation of Dante and Vergil. We might as well say that Nero is the son of Samanosuke since the whole devil arm thing was a rip off from Onimusha. We should be talking about how to improve the DMC series because the forth one could have been better.

Na I don't think so. Vergil and love... maybe? Vergil and kids... omg never. He's not that kind of 'family dad'. The 'Vergils soul is the demon form that posesses Nero' theory was the first thing I thought of when seeing the first game shots of Nero. It would be sad for Capcom to so confirm Vergils dead. He actually 'died' = disappeared in bright light 3 times, that's no real death to me. I hope they will resolve this mess with Nero and Vergils Destiny in DMC5..

Well. In the 4th game... it says Nero has Sparda's Blood. meaning, he is some relative. Sparda had no brothers or sisters as far as we know. So hes not a cousin. Im betting on brother. Why hes able to yeild yamato. Vergil has nothing to do with it. Though, Vergil is my favorite character of all time.
