I read this book called Just like ice cream... it was the most.... IRRITATING book I have ever read. it was very preachy and the opinion was very... forceful.

It was about a girl who was too stupid to realize that you should make your boyfriend wear a condom or at the very least be on birth control and so she went and got herself pregnant and went through all the options she could think of (adoption, abortion etc) because her boyfriend (stereo-typical as he was) ditched her. And the whole time she was trying to make up her mind she was all "wah wah wah I want my boyfriend back."
The girl was just... stupid.

Luckily I only paid a dollar for it... though i still think I over paid.

Avoid the book just like ice cream at all costs.

Any books that just really P*ss you off?

It was called Prisoner of Cage farm. It was horribly confusing, and boring. It was meant to be a period book, in the prairies while they were becoming settled, but it wasn't written like it was from a period, and none of the character really stayed with their original personalities.

I think it was my friend Anya who suggested that the characters were all Schizophrenics.
And then to top it all off, it ended with a fire that started out of thin air. >.<

About the Just like ice cream, it sounds like something that most girls (mainly a younger age group.) would do. It's the low responsibility and lack of common sense. I have a feeling it was meant for girls with the same mentality, which personally, I'm glad your not of xD

One of my teachers from long, long ago (who happened to be much more open and personal with her students, or tried to be.) read something like that in class. It had been in the school library, but the librarian took it out because she felt it wasn't a good topic for our age group.
She was right, prostitution and drugs wasn't a good thing to read to us. lol (The fun part is that most of the kids who were in that class with me, are drop outs working at pet land cleaning up dog diarrhea

Wow those both sound like they are horrible, I started reading this book called Well Schooled in Murder. From what I did read it's about a family whose only son is kidnapped or runs away or something like that, I simply couldn't get into it and I'm a patient person when it comes to books, but the book takes place in England and the characters all spoke in a terrible cockney accents, and it completely confused me within a matter of a few pages. I just couldn't take it any longer. I crying finally had to give up after like two chapters. If anyone has read this book and it is good let me know and maybe I'll try to give it another shot.

Amelia Atwater-Rhodes is annoying too... as much as I love her books... she too much of a wimp to go through with a sex scene. She can beat the living crap out of all different people and vampires and shape shifters... but she can't write a sex scene.

oh yeah and there was another book. I can't remember the title... but it was about a kid who's little sister got kidnapped but everyone thinks she drowned in the river. It wouldn't have been a bad story except everytime the author ahd a chance to make it exciting she killed it.

I'm not really sure. But I prefer the second option lol

Censorship sucks, but I think that in that particular situation, the teacher should have had atleast talked to us about the seriousness of the topics.

I can't say there's a book I hate but there was one I like definitly least of all... Brave New World... There were so many things that killed it. Mostly what killed it was the random make out scenes that would come in when characters say things important. Here an example that that doesn't spoil anything. Okay so ford was talking about how the world use to work and what went about the change to now. About a few paragraphs in they come across two kids making out and they just tell them to do that somewhere is becuase they're talking. Like really after the 10th time that happens it starts to kill the book. That's all I can really say without giving any of the book away... ninja

The Life of Pi! It's one of the worst books ever!!!It take the guy Pi three days to relize that there is a tiger in the boat with him! Also the whole time he's talking about non-important stuff like how he had seen a mouse live with snakes till one ate it. Also how his teacher was atiest(no clue how to spell that word).

Well, I'm normally more openminded about what I'm reading for school, but right now Ulysses is driving me crazy. The problem is that I"m only like 200 pages into the thing and it's like 800 in total. Stream of consciousness like you wouldn't beleive. Half of the time the protagonist doesn't even complete his thoughts. He just leaves them in half or quarter sentences.

The first book to come to mind is The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn- you could tell about halfway through that Mark Twain had no idea where to go with the story
