COTD is like black metal's Inner Circle or LLN.
I know Spiritus Mortis is part of the COTD, not sure who else, though.
I agree with their belief that traditional doom is the "truest" form of doom, sticking true to their roots and honoring the greats like Sabbath, Vitus, and Pentagram. Not that funeral, sludge, death/doom, and gothic are any less doom than trad., they're just not that pure in influence.
Eh, I couldn't care less what they believe, as long as they keep playing great music and deliver great albums.
