I'm not sure I have a favourite artist, I like all art! Though I do have a great admiration for Michaelangelo's Cistine Chapel work and of course David. smile
|

No i dont mean historical artist, just artist in general. In my lil collage on the frist post i have a drawing by Victoria France and a drawing by Nene Thomas, they are both mordern artist. And the turth be told my favorite artist is my best friend, Sicochan.

if we're talking about a mangaka then it's Kaori Yuki without hesitation XP
otherwise I have a weakspot for Boris Vallejo, Julie Bell etc. because of their awesome realism skills even if they usually portray fantasy or fantasy inspired settings and characters... they look alive >.>
and if we go to classical stuff it's Monet ^^
then of course have some other ppl here and there that I've stumbled upon on the web that i adore which doesn't really count as professional artists but they're so good 3nodding

I don't really have any favorite artists but I guess Takehiko Inoue the creator of Slam Dunk and Vangabond is one. His artwork is so realistic its awesome!

then doesn't that make you rock too?? ;P
taheen: heh.. no worries about it ^^
it's a manga artist and guess her most famous work are Angel Sanctuary and her newest manga God Child ^^
I like her since she doesn't only draw gorgeous characters but also have deep stories very often involving trauma of some sort (murder, poisioning etc.) or bring up subjects generally seen as taboo in some ways... only in Angel Sanctuary there's the questioning of god and his/hers identity and intentions, corrupted angels and incestual relationships among other things XD
and of course she has a pile of other shorter stories and know at least one of them is Yaoi ^^
or well.. was a while ago that i read it so don't remember any detailed scenes.. but at the very least it's hinting yaoi XP

hmm.. it's licensed though so if you don't intend on buying it I'm not really sure where you would be able to get it otherwise anymore >.>
