The kingdom is in upheaval. The royal magician has been kidnapped by the evil kingdom of None. Without magic the kingdom will be practically defenseless when None attacks. Your quest, if you accept it, is to penetrate the enemy lines and lies and find our good magician before he is killed or brainwashed and None attacks!
Ellessa has requested to be allowed to acompany whoever goes on this quest as she is related to the magician - her Uncle Epperth. You will start out in a town which is 50 miles from the border of None.
Beware the magical traps which have been left behind and the misinformation that you will receive from SOME people along the way.

Xanitos turns back into his normal shape, walking out of the alley. He struggles to act normal, while he is repulsed by all the evil. He sees the agreed meeting place ahead, and limps toward it.

Ranana hid in the shadows watching the meeting point. She wasn't going to she herself until she was sure that this wasn't another trap.
((so are all these people rescuing the magician on a team?))

The duskblade Suristage was approaching the meeting place too. His half robe swirling around his left leg, and covering his left arm.

Xanitos sees some people hiding in the shadows, and melts into a small dog. He moves forward into the square, to determine if the people are dangerous.

The dog walks up to Suristage, with his all-too-human eyes. He speaks, but the dogs lips don't move. "Are you here to meet her too?"

It is a warm spring day - but rain seems to be threatening. Ellessa checks her gear to make sure she has her well-worn travel cloak and looks at the sky one more time. This is not the most promising weather in which to meet a band of fellow adventurers. She is aware that the people she meets with today may be friends or rivals, but she looks forward to testing her metal with or against them. She could only wish that there was some way to check each one for their motives.

She has observed that one is a shape-shifter and one is hiding in the shadows. "It is well. We can use their skills" she thinks to herself. There is one who seems to show no fear, and for this one she worries a little until she sees what appears to be a prior friendship between the shape shifter and this one. Interesting. She steps out to meet the two that are already waiting and introduces herself and asks if they are there for the quest.

"Well then, I see I'm in the correct place. Do you mind if I stay in here? Kinda fragile to light...." She put an arm out of the shadows and it immediately started simmering. She pulled it back and healed it.
